Default Sunday Sermonette

Hi y'all and how are ye? here it is sept. 15th already..57 years ago today my sweetheat and i said our i do's and praise God we are still married..and i'm still saying i do..don't forget to pray for those in need and pray for one another that we will draw closer to our Heavenly Father..i know hunting season is open in a lot of states and many of us will be out there enjoying it but don't forget who created it all for our pleasure..
Dear Father in Heaven, we come before you today with thankful hearts..we thank you for your love and mercy to us and ask you to supply our needs, whatever they might be according to your will.in Jesus name we pray, amen.

1And Saul was consenting unto his death. And at that time there was a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judaea and Samaria, except the apostles.
2And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great lamentation over him.
3As for Saul, he made havock of the church, entering into every house, and haling men and women committed them to prison. Acts 8:1-3 kjv.

We see the dispersion of the Church and also we see that Saul is very intent upon the destruction of the Church.. We see him going into houses and homes and having people dragged off and placed in prison. Saul has only one thing on his mind and that is the total destruction of the new Church. Yet, God asweknow has a plan for Saul. Saul was not ignorant about the Laws of God, but was truly misdirected until his meeting with Jesus on the road to Damascus. Isn't that like it is today? there are many intent upon tearing down the church..they have taken the bible out of schools and you can not openly pray and the ten commandments cannot be displayed in many public places..there are many false teachers, especially on TV. that are preaching a different gospel..I just read where a teacher was fired for ending his prayer with the words,"In Jesus name." there are churchs that allow homosexuals to be ministers..but we must realize that God is in control and regardless of how we may feel about an individual, we are to be praying for them,(i know that is hard to do sometime), and allowing the Spirit of God to take a hold in their lives. We see in short order a man who was intent upon the complete removal of those involved, to be one willing to die the same. God does MAKE a difference in lives. You and I need to allow God to work and the Spirit of God to direct our paths. When God is in control of an individual, who knows what can and will happen that can shake the world we live in. Please allow God to speak to us through His Word and there will be a difference in our lives and in the lives of others..

Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for being there for us in all our needs..and Father i pray that all shall come to know you as their Lord and Saviour..we pray in Jesus name and for his sake Amen..

God On The Mountain

Life is easy when you're up on the mountain

And you've got peace of mind like you've never known.
But then things change and you're down in the valley.
Don't lose faith for you're never alone.

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.

When things go wrong, He'll make it right.
And the God of the good times
is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day is still God in the night.

You talk of faith when you're up on the mountain.
Oh but the talk comes easy when life's at its best.
But it's down in the valley of trials and temptation
That's when faith is really put to the test.

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.

When things go wrong, He'll make it right.
And the God of the good times
is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day is still God in the night.

For the God on the mountain is still God in the valley.
When things go wrong, He'll make it right.
And the God of the good times
is still God in the bad times.
The God of the day is still God in the night.
The God of the day is still God in the night.

Congaratulations on your Anniversary please pass that on to your wife, I love that not only do you still Love your wife but that you still like her very much.

But going to the sermon, thank you Motor! I look forward to these sermonettes. With 3 kids I miss a lot of the sermon at times it's nice to have this as a supplement. Plus Josh takes notes on the sermon for me
As for praying for others I need the strength of Jesus to pray for others. I pray for compassion and understanding. Pray for the lost sheep was his answer. Satin told them a lie and they fell for it. It makes me sad to think of the number of people that were suckered in by Satin and will live an eternity in agony. Some days though it feels like a fine line because we choose what we believe and what we don't. PRAYER, PRAYER, and more PRAYER, nowthere is always something we can be doing for the lost sheep.
