Default Remembering D. James Kennedy

Watched the funeral today of D. James Kennedy and I
thought he was a true warrior of the faith and the good
news of Jesus Christ.Billy Grahams grandson was there
representing his grandfather,George Bush had a special
person there for him,James Dobson, and Chuck Colson also
were there along with many others. We are losing so many
of the great preachers of the christian faith lately but we
know they are with the Lord in heaven!Just thought I would
share this news. Mike

He will be very hard to replace. My father went to seminary with him, so I had the privilege of some first hand encounters with this great man. I really am sorry that he is gone. I have a lot of his writings and found him to be an extremely gallant . .....as you said, warrior of the faith! Thanks for bringingthis up. I had intended to myself.

Dr. Kennedy did a lot for evangelism when he came out with evangelism explosion. I was one of the first in Texas to go through that program. He did a lot to bring denominations together. He will be missed. Another man of God home at last.

What a great servant he was for our Lord. I used to listen to him nearly every day when I worked days years ago and I always enjoyed his preaching. It's comforting to know that he's now in the presence of our King and that those of us who are saved will have plenty of time in the future to talk with him in our eternal home.

I saw him preach a sermon on Grace..what a blessing it was and i might say a tear jerker from the start.it gave me a better understanding of Grace..and then he was follwed by E.V.Hill, a baptist preacher from California who preached on hell..the first thing he said was, i don't want to go to hell and then my friend he, as B.R. Laken said, turned over the honey bucket and let the bees swarm..and friends many were stung because when he was through preaching he gave an invitation and the whole front was filled with people for salvation..so you see folk, it's not a denominaton thing..here was a presbyterian and a baptist preacher sharing the same podium and many were saved..if you got the Holy Spirit it don't matter what you are..
