Well, another month has quickly slipped by and autumn will be here before you know it..as you look back over the past months, can you say you have done your best for the cause of Christ? i know i have failed him many times and different ways but yet He still loves me and blesses me everyday..
We still have those who need our prayers. oldone is having a hard fight with the pain and others have physical needs and i'm sure some have spiritual needs.so let's pray for one another that God will strengenth us and his will be done in each need..
Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you today for your loving us and your mercy that none of us deserve..be with us today and may we glean from your Word that which will be a comfort to us and give us peace deep down in our soul..these things we ask in Jesus name and for his sake Amen..
1 Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.
2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.
3 And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.
4 The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.
5 Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish. Psalm 1 kjv.
The Psalm begins with the phrase, "Blessed is the man" or "Happy is the man." We all want happiness. But some look for it in all the wrong places and in all the wrong things. Some look for it in jobs, money, new homes and cars, sex, alcohol, and even drugs. These things are all temporary. What about lasting happiness in spite of circumstances. How is it that some people who are in the worst of life"s circumstances still claim to be blessed, happy, and joyful.
In this passage the Psalmist describes the person God blesses or the happy person. But he also describes the person God condemns. First lets look at the person God blesses.
"Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the Law of the Lord, and on His Law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers."
we are not to walk in the council of wicked..Oh my friends it's so easy to conform to the way of the world today and it all starts with what we watch on tv and who we associate with and where we spend our time..we say, well i'll go have a drink with you or i'll go to this x-rated movie this one time and then the first thing you know we are as bad as the world..don't go where the sinners go.. you see they make sin so appealing today that it is easy to conform to ways of the ungodly..I have never seen in my 78 years so many people that are scornful toward God and mock him..they have no respect fot Jesus or those that follow him..but there will be a payday oned and the wages of sin is death..I read where this atheist was in a boat and a lighning storm came up and he stood up in his boat and shouted, if there is a God let him strike me dead..well a bolt hit him and killed him..you draw your own conclusions..
The rightesous man's delight is in the law of the Lord.. and you notice He didn't say read the Word but He said meditate on it day and night..I sometimes wonder about these people who say they have read the bible through 30-40-50- times..that's great but what did they get out of it..
have you ever seen a mighty oak and wonder how it got so big and strong? well it survived the winds and the rain and the storms and went on to drop it's fruit and the deer and squirrels and othe animals feed from it..that's the way we should grow, be planted in the Word and grow and be fruitful..
The wicked are like chaff in two ways. Chaff is worthless, and chaff is burned. the bible saysi n Pro.14:12, "There is a way that seems right unto man but the end thereof are the ways death." that's why we should spread the Word everywhere we go, that Jesus will save the lost and heal the broken heart..
Than you again Father for Jesus our Lord and Master..may we always rejoice in his love and grace and Father if there is one here today that is lost, may this be their day of salvation..we pray in Jesus precious name Amen..

Yesterday was the past, Tomorrow is the future, but today is a Gift, that is why it's called the Present.
Yes Motor you are a gift from God and I thank the Lord that a lowly sinner like me can accept such grace, and mercy. And know that God loves me enoughto sacrifice His only Son just for me.
