I have been saved since i was 12years old and grew up in a christian atmosphere, but now that im 19, living by myself, workin on sunday instead of goin to church, basically hitting the real world,my faith in God stumbles every now and then, i pray about it but it still weighs heavy on my heart. What is a good way to rid the doubt completely?!

It could be your church. If you are in a church which is not sincerely following the Word...it can cause beleivers to stumble. As Motor has said..get in the Word..and separate yourself from things that rob our faith.
1. Bad communications ...media , bad music , evil people etc.
2. Practice obedience...obedience helps are faith and conficence in the Lord ot grow.
3. Pray..ask God to bless your relationship wiht HIm...The Word was written "That ye might know Him."
God bless,

The Apostles had doubts and fears. I've learned that Peter denied even knowing Jesus. Itturns out thatMother Teresa had doubts.
Just pray. Your prayers are heard even if you have doubts. And when you pray, don't forget to give thanks for your blessings. Lots of times we get so focused on our own needs that we forget that part.

Questions and doubts are inevitable, and can be a little intimidating, especially when you don't expect them or understand their source. They , actually, can be the best thing to happen, when you learnhow to deal with them. As others ahve said, pray, and stay in the Word, and seek out some solid friends. Also, if you have a trusted friend to confide in, or a Pastor, or family member, open up about your doubts, and be very honest with yourself, and others, and especially with God about them. Depending on the nature of your doubts, there are numerous books out there that can answer many questions for you. I found out, a long time ago that what seems to be an obstacle or difficulty now, can be the greatest agent for real growth and development. I'm sure that Joseph had his moments when , no matter how much he obeyed, he still encountered set back after set back, yet many year later, his response was, you meant it for my harm, but God meant it for my good. You will be able tolook back on tyhis time, as unsettling as it may seem now, as a time for a real oppurtunity to deepen your fiath by facing your doubts.
If you can tell me a little something about the type of questions and doubts that you are facing, I may be able to recommend some good reads, or even help answer 1 or 2 of them. The evil one is a master at twisting things and using half truths to create suspicions and doubts, so the more of the truth that you know, the less likely it is you can be decieved. A trained agent in the Treaury Department deals with counterfeits by becoming so familiar with the real that he can detect the slightest discrepancy--so the more you know the truth, the better.
very helpful manuman, and to all for that matter, thank you ill keep you in mind for when the time arises again, my grandfather is a pastor and ive talked to him about them and he helped a lot also but its always good to here more.

Hi Aaron,
We home schooled our 2 boys. They were very involved in church and a huge part in the youth and missions groups. As the church reached outto the neighborhood and brought in the unsaved teens...I noticed the youth began listening to the worldly heavy rebellious metal music..In a years time..nearly the entire youth group was back slidden.
I used to preach in a juvenile home.Once their was a pastor's son in there. He said "Brother Chuck..I'll tell you why I'm here".and he quoted a passage out of Romans."Evil communications corrupt good manners."

you need to evaluate what your faith is actually in first of all. there has to be an object of faith, which should be in the cross of Christ (God's answer for sin). the way we feel & the things we do have little to do with true christian faith, if it does then we have transfered our faith into our feelings or our performance (works). and we know that we are not saved by works but through faith, faith in what Jesus did on the cross. thats why the bible tells us we must take up our cross daily making sure our faith is anchored correctly in God's redemption plan which saves & sanctifies us. by the way proper faith will produce proper works (bible study, prayer life, christian fellowship, ...) as far as books to read i'd stick to the one God left for us-the bible-and i'd suggest a word for word translation such as the king james, not one of todays watered down versions such as the message bible.
i have a brand new expositors study bible i'll send you if you send me a pm (kalehatlanta@aol.com). also check out jsm.org
