Was just wanting to get all the help I could for my old pastor. He pastored our church, First Assembly of God for fifteen years, his two kids grew up and moved back to where the rest of the family is, so he soon followed to be with his family and his extended family. He is around mid fifty's and is a pretty good guy, down to earth type. Just took a new church with the Assemblies in Cincinnati Ohio. His oldest son, who I graduated with is 32 and died yesterday from a heart attack. They are both in alot of pain right now and he is a pastor that needs all our prayers. The sad part that makes this even worse is he lost his next to oldest son when he was three or fourto a car accident. He has his only daughter left now. They are in alot of pain and can't even comprehend loosing a second and last son. They need the entire community of believers to think and pray for them in the next few days. The fathers name is Darrel, the Mother is Pattie, and the son is Darrel Jr. Please remember them in your daily prayers.
Thanks, Jason

I will pray for them right now, I lost my brother and I know what it did to my parents and I can't imagine what lose oftwo sons would do to the parents.

Well he looked like a twelve point when in shot him.
Thanks guys! I know its helping him. Continue to pray for him. He has always been a strong witness for the church, but this will shake any mans foundation. I know they still struggle with there first son's death and that was 25 plus years, so this is to unreal for any man or woman. For all of you that go to Wednesday meetings, please bring this up. The parents names are Darrell and Pattie and I think his new church was in Montgomery Ohio, close to Cincinnati. If you could ask this as a prayer in your Wednesday meeting it will help.
Thanks again, Jason

What can I say except how profoundlysorry I am to hear this. Yes, his faith is sorely tested, I'm sure. But God's grace i sgreater thna anythingwe face. Even Job like circumstances. Easy for me to say, not being in his shoes, but it still is true. I lost my best friend at age 23 who was married for 9 months, going to seminary, and wanting to go to the mission field. Does any of it make sense to me--no. But,this world is broken and this life is a battleground, where the evil one never plays fair. Every time he does something that seems nonsensical to us, God is always one step ahead of him, having His plans in place which will always, ultimately, win in the end. The evil one thought he had won when Christ was killed.Little did he know that his very actions were what saved the world. The Lord played him like a fiddle. Satan comes to kill, steal , and to destry, but God is always in control, bringing life where death seemed final. Joseph said, you meant it for harm, but God meant it for good.I'm sure God redeems all of these seeming tragedies in much the same ways, even when we don't see or know what they are, and how He is working.
