Default Sunday Sermonette

Dear Heavenly Father we stand humbly before you this day thanking you for your wonderful mercy and love toward us..I pray in Jesus name that you will heal the sick and draw us all closer to you.. forgive us Father of our sins and those times we have failed you. help us to be a better witness to your saving grace..this things we ask and thank you for in Jesus name and for his sake, Amen..

1 I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication.
2 I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.
3 When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.
4 I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.
5 I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.
6 Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.
7 Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me. Psalm 142 kjv.

All too often we put God in the back seat of our lives until He is needed to assist or save us from some mess we have created, yet for the believer who is truly set upon the things of God, we must learn to place Him first in our lives. God must never become the second thought, but must be the first thought in all that we do. David realized this in the way he lived and we see how this is played out in his life when he has to come before God and receive his disciple. David was more than willing to receive from the Hand of God verses taking it from his fellow man. David knew that God's justice would be fair! As we walk the paths God has for us, we need to keep God at the fore front of our thoughts and actions. As we grow in Him, we will see how much life has to offer and what we can share with others as allow the Spirit of God to work within our lives. Remember because He died, we can truly live and be His hands and feet in our world. There is great security in opening God's timeless Book and hearing His voice..It calms our fears..It clears our heads..It comforts our hearts..Let it supply all your needs. all you will ever need in life is in your Bible for it is the Word of almighty God..
You know Christians ought to be happy.Christians ought to have their wants satisfied and not to live defeated and unhappy lives..Jesus said in John 16:24, "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name, ask, and ye shall receive, THAT YOUR JOY MIGHT BE FULL." He also said, "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and i will give you rest." What a wonderful Saviour!
Do you have that Joy in your heart, that peace that passeth all understanding? if not maybe you are like King David was at one time. out of thee will of God..I know i was and my life was not where it should be and i went to the alter, and as David did, I asked God to restore unto me the joy of my salvation.and He did and what a difference it made..oh i still have the storms that come along and the ups and downs but He is always there to comfort me and to see me through the hard times, He's just a prayer away.. we serve a wonderful Saviour!

Father thank you for another opportunity to share your Word ..I pray it has blessed someone in a special way and that the cares of the world have been cast aside and burdens have been lifted.. and as always Father, if there is someone here that is lost and hell bound, may this be their day of salvation..We pray in Jesus name,Amen...

they preached the Word and went on their way singing..sing this old hymn with me and remember the same blood that washed away David's will cleanse you and make you a new creature..Praise the LORD!

Have you been to Jesus for the cleansing power?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Are you fully trusting in His grace this hour?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Refrain

Are you washed (are you washed) in the blood (in the blood),
In the soul cleansing blood of the Lamb?
Are your garments spotless? Are they white as snow?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Are you walking daily by the Savior?s side?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Do you rest each moment in the Crucified?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Refrain

When the Bridegroom cometh will your robes be white?
Are you washed in the blood of the Lamb?
Will your soul be ready for the mansions bright,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb?

Refrain

Lay aside the garments that are stained with sin,
And be washed in the blood of the Lamb;
There's a fountain flowing for the soul unclean,
O be washed in the blood of the Lamb!

Refrain
