Default Judas ??????

I watch a movie on Judas last night and it ask a question that I have been thinking for a long time. Was Judas a trader or was he doing what Jesus wanted and was a true freind of Jesus. The movie brings up the the translation problen with the word BETRADED in fact the translation really is to HAND OVER I went back and check to see if thay were right about this and there is a big translation problen there.

So was jesus betrade by Judas or was he following what was ask of him.
As for Judas hanging himself in the time piond that the sword holder die with his king and Jesus was the king of the jews

so was Judas a trader as I go back and check the facts I have to say NO
what do you think ?
Please back you youre opinion with facts not want you beleave

That's a good one Chuck. You know that God knows all the story. He knows the beginning and the end. I think that Judas was just the avenue to get Him to the cross, and of course the cross was the means He chose to give His life.

We read that Judas denied Jesus for the silver, but we don't know that Jesus didn't tell him. We know that Jesus knew it, however I don't think God thought it was important for us to know that. I won't be surprised to see him in heaven, after all he might just have been doing the will of the Father.
I guess some things we will just have to wait until we are home, then we can ask God those questions. I want to know why He made fire ants, and why did the dinosaurs vanish. Being a bow hunter, that would have been a challenge!

Rev I think you aee right but the 30 peace of silver in the end was use to buy a fieid for a poper grave yard as for more proff that jesus ask Judas to hand him over even the Bible tells3 diffrent story in mathew it tell one story and when you go to luke it is not the same story and if you go to acts it is diffrent than the first 2 so with all the fact I can find I would say yes we will see Judas in heaven so if this is true we all owe Judas a thank you for without him the blood of the lamb wood not have been shed and we would not have the mercy of the Lord.

Reb as I said this is not from any lost text which I know I am good at quoteing I am takeing the facts from the King James Bible

Sorry I didn't see the movie. But there is a lot of gnostic stuff out there right now. I guess i would disagree I believe he was a traitor. But be that as it may the most important thing is not that he was a traitor, if you believe like myself , but that someone that close to Jesus could indeed turn him,Jesus, over. I guess you could use that as a argument that he didn't become a traitor. The idea that he was not fits right into the gnostic point of view.

John was pretty close to Jesus too and it seems like he sure considered Judas a traitor.

Venator1 and Piketripper Gnostic was never said I will repeat what I did say read Mather and then read Luke and then read Acts if you beleave that these 3 books are true then you must admit that 2 of them are WRONG all three tell diffrent story of what happen so which one is true all three cannot be right.
Now that being said you must take into account the tranlation problem with the old text.
Venator1 forget the gnotic train of through and go to the Bible the main word that is not tranlation should read to hand over not to betraded. Now take into account the practice of the servent dieing with there king was not Jesus the king of the Jews and was not Judas the servent of the King ?

Mt. 26-24 The Son of man goeth as it is written of him: but woe unto that man by whom the Son of man is betrayed! it had been good for that man if he had not been born. I think if the bible says it would be better if you were not born. He was not doing it for Jesus sake but for his own evil reasons. Just my opinion.

Biscut you have PICK the one word (betrayed) that has the tranlation problem Was jesus really betrayed ? was it not writen from the begening
who would turn over Christ to the high priest ? Judas did not know that they would turn over Christ to the romens or did he Jesus new when he said go and do what you are to do. Jesus new before Judas went what was going to happen so was he betrayed or was he follow his Father will Jesus prayed Father youre will be done so was it the will of God that handed Jesus to the priest using Judas to do so , Just something to think about

Luk 22:3Then entered Satan into Judas surnamed Iscariot, being of the number of the twelve.
Joh 13:2 And supper being ended, the devil having now put into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him;
Act 1:25 That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.
Joh 6:70 Jesus answered them, Have not I chosen you twelve, and one of you is a devil?
Joh 6:71 He spake of Judas Iscariot the son of Simon: for he it was that should betray him, being one of the twelve.
Joh 6:64 But there are some of you that believe not. For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were that believed not, and who should betray him.

I tend to think that Judas was used by the devil . . . . .who in turn was

outmanuvered by God. There are several instances where the Lord used

the devils own for His own purposes. Just my .02
