I find this statement very sad--a real show of a lack of basic biblical interpretation and knowledge of the Christ of the scriptures. Alienating in this manner is very uncool.

Jesus' deciples were instructed to preach the Word of God, as brought by Jesus, to the four corners of the earth. They were to start Christian churches , and to give others the "key" to eternal life. So all Christian churches can be traced to the original churches which were started by the Apostles or their designees....

And to say the Jews ( orthadox ) were more of a real church, but still did not get it because they would not recognize the Pope????

Me thinks me knows someone who is suffering from a " God " complex.... and he is about to lead the Catholic church down a dark and lonely road. The pope is not anyone to be exalted.... The only One that matters is Jesus Christ, and the pope cannot get anyone to Heaven, nor keep anyone out.

But I guess it is the people who have made him that way. If you look at when the pope is in his pope mobile, and the press has put the word out about where he will be, there are throngs of people , hollering and reaching out to touch him, and cheering him..... maybe like Jesus entering Jerusulam....... and that should not be happening........ the only one to be worshipped is Jesus.... I will respect the man, but I will not worship him.

That is why the Catholic faith and I have never really mixed.... I just cannot see it... Too many things that do not fit into Christian beliefs and Gods instruction....

And before anyone accuses me of bashing and being intolerent.... My mom and one of my sisters are Catholic. Although I have gotten my mom to go to church with me a few times, and she likes it there. Just not enough to change her faith....yet... but she says she is learning a lot.

I agree and I understand where you are coming from. My aunt married a man who is a devout Catholic, and she was raised Lutheran, before she could marry him she had to take classes to convert to Catholicism, anyways she told them she would go through their process but she was allready a Christian and that wouldn't change, she also said she will continue to have her Lutheran traditions that she would not give up. She paid her membership and was in. My aunt is living proof that not one church is the true church, but that we all need to have a personal relationship with God and live a Christ like life because we are all Holy temples of God

Who ever told her that was feeding her a line. It is not true. I was married 40 years before I converted.

I can remember when some old Texas buddies of mine though a pointed hat was just a fine thing for a pure southern christian.
