Default Sunday's Sermonette

Praise the Lord, AMEN!!!
it sure is good to see you here this morning and hope you are all doing well and looking forward to a great Lord's Day..I know that some of you are still struggling with health problems and some are discouraged and downhearted..welll i have some wonderful news for you..Jesus loves you and wants to help you through your troubles..He says,"Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and I will give you rest" so take all your cares to him as He cares for you..we thank you Jesus for what you have done and what you are going to do and it's in your name i pray,Amen..

16Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them.
17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted.
18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.
19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:16-20 kjv.

We celebrated our nations birthday just a few days ago and we know that for the freedoms we have, many have died to allow us to continue the lifestyle that we now have. In our Scripture, we have also been given our freedom and the cost was very great and very near to the heart of God: death of His Son, Jesus. If it went no further, then that would be it. Jesus was crucified that our sins would be taken away, not just covered, but completely removed and remembered no more. you know that is a very satisfying statement..He could have said i'll forget all your sins but you know then He could have remembered them later on but He says i will remember them no more..what a wonderful promise!! Then God raised Him from the dead and that is where we as believers now have true freedom and with that freedom comes the Power to do the right thing. When Jesus ascended to heaven, He did not leave us or forsake us, see the last verse of our reading. The Holy Spirit was sent that all who believe upon the Name of Jesus and turn from their wrong ways will be saved. With salvation comes the power to do the right thing and with that comes the true freedom which is independent of anything else that is going on around us. yes, we have the power to say no to the temptations that face us everyday in this old wicked world..as i have said before, we believe in Jesus but do we believe in his power? Truly we have been blest if we have received Jesus as our Savior and turned our lives over to Him.
Father thank you for your Son Jesus and his finished work on the cross..And Lord i pray that we will show our love and thankfulness by being a witness for you where ever we go..thank you for that power to stand up and tell that old old story that Jesus saves..and it is our prayer if there is someone here today that is lost and without a Saviour that this will be their day of salvation.. we ask this in Jesus precious name and for his sake..Amen..
I truly pray that each day with Him will be as that old hymn states: Sweeter than the day before-
Since I started for the Kingdom,
Since my life He controls,
Since I gave my heart to Jesus,
The longer I serve Him,
The sweeter He grows.

Chorus

The longer serve Him, the sweeter He grows,
The more that I love Him, more love He bestows;
Each day is like heaven, my heart overflows,
The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.

Ev'ry need He is supplying,
Plenteous grace He bestows;
Ev'ry day my way gets brighter,
The longer I serve Him,
The sweeter He grows.

Chorus

The longer serve Him, the sweeter He grows,
The more that I love Him, more love He bestows;
Each day is like heaven, my heart overflows,
The longer I serve Him, the sweeter He grows.
