Default Sunday Sermonette

Well here it is, another week gone and it's almost july already..it seems like we are always saying , tomorrow i am going to do this or that when we should be concerned with today because there may not be a tomorrow..today is really all we have as yesterday is gone and tomorrow never comes so let's make the most of it today..i hope that makes sense..please pray for those in need and especially for those who are lost and without a Saviour..

Father thank you for loving us and sending your Son to die for us that we might have eternal life in heaven with you..as we look into your Word today i pray that each will be blessed in someway and it's in Jesus name and for his sake i pray,Amen..

13 But unto thee have I cried, O LORD; and in the morning shall my prayer prevent thee.
14 LORD, why castest thou off my soul? why hidest thou thy face from me?
15 I am afflicted and ready to die from my youth up: while I suffer thy terrors I am distracted.
16 Thy fierce wrath goeth over me; thy terrors have cut me off.
17 They came round about me daily like water; they compassed me about together.
18 Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness. psalm 88:13-18. kjv.

All too often we think that walking with God as one easy and enjoyable path, while what we need to really realize is that Jesus tells us that those who walk and seek after the things of God will be persecuted and times will be rough. I know that many times on visitation I have been turned away..i had one guy tell me he didn't want to hear about God and walked out of the room and left me standing there. i've seen and heard it all Now for the writer of this Psalm, who i believe is Heman, the grandson of Samuel. it is not clear whether his current situation is from his own doings or has others been the ones which have caused him to be in such a bad predicament. Regardless of the circumstances, as one who follows God, we must be ready in season and out for whatever comes our way to honor God in our actions and reactions. Now for some this might be easier than others, but the bottom line we must learn is that whatever comes our way and if we are children of God, then Jesus tells us that He will NEVER leave or forsake His own. When we are in the midst of really hard challenges and as they say down here in Florida, there are alligators nipping at you, you will respond as you have been fed by the Word of God and leading of the Spirit of God. We need to make sure that we are using the time God has allowed us to be reading, praying and seeking the face of God, so that when other times do come, we can understand that Jesus is with us to the end! only this morning as i was having breakfast with about 8 other guys at the cafe, i asked them,"If you were to die today where would you be tomorrow" they all looked at me and two said heaven and one said i hope heaven and the others were silent..my friends we need to be 100% sure that Heaven is our home..out of those 8, 3 were possibly lost and one wasn't sure..we need to stand up and speak out for Jesus..after all He died for us..

Father if there is one here today that is lost may this be their day of salvation..in Jesus name i pray, Amen..

Are you a stranger to God,
Carried away with your pride?
Tell me, sinner, do you ever stop and think?
Are you afraid to die?
Chorus
Are you afraid?
Are you unsaved?
Are you afraid to die?

Call on Him while He is near.
Moments are swift passing by.
Will you seek Him while He still can be found?
Are you afraid to die?
Chorus

Are you too wicked to cry?
Would you to God's bosom fly?
Soon He's coming like a thief in the night.
Are you afraid to die?

Chorus
