We are planning on moving.

Folks,
My wife and I would like to move to a smaller town. We put in 3 resumes yesterday that was advertizing quite a few jobs. If only one of us gets hired...we are moving. The move would be 6 hours away to a small town called Marrianna ,Florida. Here's what we got so far from our investigation.

The rivers are crystal clearand spring fed so my fishing tactics will need to change. Two state records are caught from that county..Red earrred sunfish and the striped bass.

Deer are much more plentiful

Population Marrianna about 7000
Lakeland about 80,000

More diamond back rattlers ...I will be ordering snakeboots once I'm hired.

6000 dollar paycut...doesn't matter to us..There is no pricetag on peace.

Our present home is paid for and our son plans on buying it.

Brother!! You are getting closer to Chattahoochee all the time!!
For you other brothers who don't see my twisted humor here, Chattahoochee has been the home of the state mental hospital for many, many years.

LOL I got a few on another forum I visit that tells me to advoid it because there is nothign out there..That is the general idea.

There is a super Wally...so I'll be able to buy food and fishing tackle.
Have you ever visited there or lived there Charles? If so I'd love to ask some questions.

I have never lived there, just driven through a few times. I have found that when someone says "there isn't anything there" usually means that the night life and worldly intertainments are not on the level of the big cities.

I had a few friends that got sent to the State Juvinile Home in Marrianna in the late 40's and early 50's. It was moved from Marrianna to Lancaster Juvinile Facility in Trenton, Fl...

All I can say is we live in a small town, only 8 hundred and some change in our town and we love it. I grew up in town and really prefer a small town. Eventually we want to be in the country with some hunting land but for now we are happy with the hunting only being 20 minutes away and we have at least 10 lakes with in a 15 minute drive. I love living in MN.

My wife and I are getting interviewed fortwo 2nd grade positions Wed. morning . We wil have a 337 mile trip ahead of us. A principal from Marianna called our home today.

Best of luck. I still dread the day I'll have to move for my first 'career' job. I'm hoping I can 'fandangle' my cards right so that I can at least stay in my home county. (It's a small-town area...and I prefer it to any of the three cities I've been to college at.
