There is no choice to make here Preacher, and there is no blame, just observation. I do realize that can be hard to understand, and many do not understand what they truly believe. I do not denounce the existence of GOD. But I do denounce mans understanding of it. Can you not see past the "śaccept or else"ť mindset. Sorry Tony, but the child and the grill is a poor example. A more accurate example would be me asking my child to believe something, true or not. If they do, I allow them to live an eternal life, if they do not, I will make them suffer for all time. That is so primitive, and many are stuck, right there. If there is a GOD, and I am his child, I know he would not place such harsh repercussions on me. He knows who I am. He knows how hard I work to raise good children, that would also be his. I even send them to his schools to lean his teachings. For me to say I believe would be a lie, and I can"™t change that, only hide it. The church filled with the weak. Every Sunday they go and ask for forgiveness to sins they"™ve committed. Next week they"™ll ask again and have no real intentions of putting an end to all the sinning"¦ From the outside looking in, it is a joke. A gathering of the followers; they"™ll sit and tell stories and convince each other that it will be okay. They"™ll leave and feel better, for now anyway. Until all the sinning starts again"¦

K.P. It sounds like you may need a new church if your congregation is not living a Christian lifestyle with Christs morals. As you know your salvation has nothing to do with any one else's. Works without Faith is dead brother and so isn't Faith without Works. God loves you and wants you to be His son but it is your choice K.P. and yours alone He will not make that choice for you. The bible says that only those who have faith in Jesus Christ and strive to live as He did will go to heaven, the bible is the Living Word of God brother and He is what He is. My prayers for you and your family and what ever church it was you went.

You need to ask God to show you if He is real ...... you make zero sense when you say you don't deny God, yet you deny man's understanding of Him. If YOUR God was real, I would want no part of him. He sure wouldn't be god, if he couldn't give his creation understanding of him ... pretty weak god if you ask me ....... if he could and he didn't, he wouldn't be a loving god, not showing us what is right and what is wrong ..... your fabricated idea of god makes no sense ......

If you want to argue about what doesn't make sense that is fine, I'm all about that. What doesn't make sense is what is written in the bible. It is simply full of holes. But those who want to believe it, will, that simple. If the bible were written today, it would be laughed at, and by all, including you. But go ahead and deny that. However, since it has been followed for so long, it has a following. A following of the closed minded and the scared. If I am GOD's child, then he knows that my words are true, at least to me. I would not ask my child to lie about their true feeling, but I have an open mind, and it is free to wonder...
It is man who decided and preaches acceptance, not God. Don't place words in God's mouth like those before you.

I did that when I asked God to show me his truth ... not man's .... or mine ... but His truth ... when I did that, God opened my heart and mind ...... 1Corinthians 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
