I am renting a cabin in the mountains for 4 days and plan on, Lord willing, dong some fishing inmy new Riverhawk boat---trout, wil be via wading, but I will be bass fishing in Lake Blue Ridge, and a couple of private ponds as well. Nice bass sir.

Good for you brother... Hope the luck continues, I am leaving at 2:00 A.M for Lake Texoma for some stripper fishing.. Hope to have some pics tomorrow evening.
I pretty much keep to the bread n' butter stuff when bass fishing. Mostly, cause I don't know anything else
But you rigging looks alot like a miniature version of what we call a "drop line" or "drop sinker" for catfishing. What's the lure on that rig? I suppose it does the same thing it does for catfishing...keeps her near, but off, the bottom and lets her move a little with currents?

I was simply drifting a live golden shiner in 15 feet of water..under a bobber. I put a BB split shot about 7 inches above a #2 hook. What you are seeing is the BB twisted up after the fight.I lost one much bigger last week on a diving jointed Rapala..broke the line like it was thread.[]
