Default hard decisions

Lately I have came across some hard decisions. I have prayed to God to help me with these decisions. How can I make sure its what he wants for me and not what I want. You know what I mean?

Good question...only you know that answer Fred. butI will give you some decision making verses I apply in my own situation..

The Word says that God gives us the desires of our heart.when we "Trust Him , delight in Him and do good." Psalm 37... Proverbs. 3:6 Says "In ALL thy ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths". ..not maybe but SHALL. Jesus taught us when we pray to beleive that you have already recieved the answer to your prayer BEFORE it comes...We walk in faith Fred..Also, God can work through a person's thought life on your behalf..I remember praying that God would lay it on my principal's heart to hire my wife..Two days later Mrs. Bigger's said,"Chuck, God spoketo me in a dream to hire your wife." I couldn't hardly believe it...but she said we have no openings..One month later an opening came up and she was hired. Yesterday I was planning to fish this morning Fred..My battery is charged and I'm ready...I am more sensitive toward God in the mornings before the cares of the world creap in..Anyway, riight before I got out of bed this morning God changes my plans. Andrew my son from the service is coming home tomorrow on leave..I plan to stay home and tidy up the home..Through the years Fred we learn to discern God's voice...I don't beleive the Father is going to sit back and watch you mess up...Above all things pray..and remember to seek His will.God loves you Fred and the Word says your Spirit and His Spirit are one..Your future is a love relationship of you and the Father working together for His glory..He's not a magic lamp...He is a genuine heavenly Father that knows what s best for you. What pleases Him is that you walk in faith and in love...

God opens the doors he wants you to go threw, you just have to look for them.

It can be difficult to figure out what God wants us to do. Sometimes I think I am so dense that God has to use a 2x6 (the normal 2x4 doesnt work for me)to get my attention. I have made a ton of mistakes in my life. Looking back, I wonder how I could be such a complete moron. I have been known to ask for signs. Shucks, it worked for Gideon!!! Why not use that for myself? I always ask for off the wall stuff as signs. Something like making it rain during a drought.

While it is indeed true that God opens doors for us, seeing them is often easier said than done. You, my friend, are going to make some real blunders in your lifetime. Thats ok. God doesnt expect perfection from us. What he does expect is that we grow. I think that God allows us to screw up. The old saying that we learn from our mistakes is all too true. Through our tough times, we learn to rely on God.

My advice to you is simple. Live your life. Embrace your mistakes and trials. Always praise God, for he is worthy of our praise. Dont sweat the small stuff. Let God worry about the big stuff. When you screw up, and you will, get back up and keep on living.

Often we think that events just happen to us, but as we learn from a story about Saul (1 Samuel 9:3-10:16), God often uses common occurrences to lead us where he wants. Just wanted you to keep that in mind.

All good advice . . .an aspect however that may have some bearing would be whether or not making this decision in itself would be a godly thing. Would doing this thing be just and honorable? Not knowing what kind of decisions you are contemplating, I just thought I'd throw this in there.
God is not the author of confusion, and He will not lead you into anything that violates His Word.

Dear Friend relax,
God loves you..Serving God is not a gamble..He devinely loves you.It is very hard ot get out of God's will.he has done and doing everything he can to save you. The doubts are normal but trust this Fred. God the ultimate source of all good and love. he said his yoke is easy and His burden is light..Man makes it more difficult than God intended. As Leaf also mentioned..Satan is the author of confusion..Rest my frined..

Tangibly all you can do is
1. pray..Cast ALL your cares upon Him and then..
2. Do good..practice righteousness in your own life..
don't worry about nothingt ..that has been covered in step 1. Giving it to God.
now go have a great day and thank God for your future wife and future.
Love ya man,
C7

Thanks Rev I havent read it word for word. Just looked it over. There was one part that did catch my eye. We should listen to that little voice inside us. Problem with that I have felt I was making the right decisions in the end was the wrong one.
