Default Prayer Request

My wife and I both went to the dermatologist on monday for a check up. I have had one basil cell(sp?) spot removed in the past, and several precancerous spots on my face and chest. This time I had seven pc's and one spot on my left arm that was biopsied. My wife had a spot on her back biopsied, and teh results are forthcoming. I am a landscape contractor, and have to be outside, although I don't , usually, get involved in the actual work, I still spend a lot of time in the sun--also whenI play soccer. I hate sunscreen, butI guess I am going to have to get over that! Please remebr my wife and I, and if any of you(Caldoc maybe?) any helpful suggestions as to ways to minimize my exposure, let me know.

Praying for you and your wife. For your face try a hat, with a wide brim this will also protect your neck. There have been some new sunscreen products out there, that aren't so thick, some you can just spray on. There are also face lotions and chapsticks with sunscreen in them but you have to pay a bit for an ungreasy lotion. Mary Kay is a bit spendy but their products have always been good. I would maybe see if you could get samples somehow that way you can find a product without having spend a ton of money.

manuman, i also don't really care for most sunscreens, i sweat alot and most of thme run into my eyes and cause me more discomfort than a little sun, bullfrog is the one i have used most, BUT!!!!! i have found something i love, it is packaged in a tube like baby wipes, SPF30, you wipe your face, ears, neck, and whatever else you need to with these wipes, i think they are made by austrailian gold, a buddy of my has a tanning business and he gave me a tube of them, they are pricey, i think a tube of them sells for 12 bucks and there are only 30 wipes per tube, but if it works and you'll use them (which i will use these), around 50 cents a day aint bad to avoid skin cancer

BTW, keeping you and the misses in our prayers

Hey Bro, you may have to start dressing like us UPC folk, and wear a hat.
My prayers for you and your missus.

Folks often ask me if I'm not hot wearing long sleeves all the time but I actually feel cooler with a light colored long sleeve shirt , unbuttoned, over an athletic t-shirt, than I am when going around the yard in nothing but a t-shirt. Light colored, loose fitting, cotton material is not all that uncomfortable.

i have pictures of my great grandparents, they were farmers, and they always wore white cotton long sleves with big straw hats, my great grnadfater died at 97, and they think my great grandmother was 103, long lives, and they cooked with lard[&:], go figure, must have been the hard work that killed'em[:-]
