Why do people put more effort into making excuses or asking questions than they do looking for answers to them?
My old Drill Sargent said excuses are like elbows, everybody has one or two . . .or something like that. As far as asking questions, there's nothing wrong with that as it's often a good way to find an answer. My old Drill Sargent said that the only dumb question is the one not asked. . .I never did like that guy.
Actually, I believe that your question probably needs to be more people specific in order for me to understand what your getting at. Let's be more user friendly for us slower folk.

I don't mind questions; I ask lots. I just think people like to ask questions but don't want and go do their homework and find the answers if someone doesn't have a good answer to it.
Like for instance, if someoneasked if you say God is aloving Godwhy doeshe let so much hate and violencehappenin the world.Ifthisquestion or any question iskeeping you from God, why wouldn't you try and find ananswer to it, even if it'snot want you want to hear. I don't know if that made anysense but that's all what I'm trying to say?

I think you could of reworded your question to ..
Why do some people......?
Not all of us fall into that category..There are alot of folks who don't make excuses but rather beat themselves up over every slip up. Trust me...I often look in the mirror of my heart and ask God to change me to be ore like Him. I make no excuses..instead I run to Him and trust Him to perfect in me that which I lack. I've learned over teh years I'm completely helpless with out Him.Like Paul/"I have NO confidence in my flesh..for in me dwelleth no good thing." My faith is in Him who died and gave His life for me. Therefore; if there is anything good in me it is of God....and since it's of God He and He alone gets the glory.

There are many reasons why people don't do the homework. For some it means that searching is believing, and some are scared of the answer they might recieve. Satan reacts to each person differently. For instance he uses our weaknessess to try and get us to stumble. Most of these people are sitting on a fence and Satan's goal is to keep them on the fence. When one is in fear it is for many reasons, they feel their world will be turned upside down and not for their benefit, some are afraid of rejection, some are afraid to admit that they need a Savior or help. And there are some who are stubborn and arrogent. All you can do for those is give them the honost answer and then pray for them as many times as you can. Extend the hand of Christ and be the best example of Christ like you can.
There are so many questions that do not have one "right" answer. I most often prefer to say "What is your view of..." or "what do you think is the reason for..."
To get other peoples views. And I apprecieate when people answer with " I think..' or " In my way of thinking..."
When people say "ITS THIS WAY..." or "It CLEARLY says in the Bible that ..." Then I am tempted to take a grain or two of salt with it.
I hope that I try to keep an open mind and when I read someone elses view point, I try to learn something from it rather than dig in my feet and argue "I am right and you are wrong"

Thanks for this post, I know I don't always do this and now that you have noted it I will try and be more aware of how I am expressing my opinion.
