You can call me Katrina if it would make you feel better. My husband pours concrete so that is why he picked that name. I chose to put mudhead's wife because it let's everyone know that I am married and not free forunwanted comments.

Anyways, my printer will scan copies andI also have a scanner, plus the church would let us use theirs if we wanted. So I do have that part covered. We got lucky when it came to getting our computer. My mom's husbandused to work on ATM'sbefore he retired. He built my computer and they gave us the scanner for free.I will share a bit of the story. My mom married Mel almost a year ago and she was living in a house he owned before that. My younger brothers and sisters were living with my mom there and she isn't great at cleaning, so she needed someone to come and help her clean up the house so Josh and I packed up the kids and made the 6 hour drive to my mom's. We spent a week there helping and were paid for cleaning and the computer was part of the deal.Getting this computer was one of the greatestblessings in our lives. My mom was not a good mom and had done some things that Josh had confronted her on. They have now repaired the somewhat relationship that they have and my mom spent a week with my kids and us. She ate dinner with us almosteverynight and would rock Nikolai to sleep. God did a lot for my mom, Mel, and my family. Plus since that week that we spenttheresome of my other brothers and sisters have been following suit and repairing their relationships with my mom. And she has made more of an effort to see us kids.

Sounds great, we are looking forward to starting it. I told Isaac about it and he was really excited. He is happy that I will be able to teach how to make math easier. His confidence is seriously lacking in this area so whenever we have a good math day it is practically a party here. Josh is excited to because it will be less stress on me. He is good at math as to where I am good at reading. But when it comes to helping Isaac with his homework Isaac will try and get him to give him the answer and can get pretty frustrated so then he'll have me take over. It is one thing to be good at it but something completely different to teach it. I commend you and your work.

Thanks Katrina,
I simply beleive in "Freely you have recieved so freely give." Mostly everything a teacher has is something they have picked up from another teacher..I teach Touch Math for the first month in every school year...It really gives those kids who need some help a boost. After; th estandardized test are nearly all word problems so he will need a work book. I'll send you a work book as well from my class room.Do not have him in the workbook until he has mastered the Touch Math,
gotta go

Thank-You again Chuck, we'll be watching for it. God Bless, and I will keep you updated on the progress. Last night was fractions, not one of the greastest nights but it's improving.

Last night was fractions
katrina..

I thought this child was 7 years old. Why is he doing fractions? I was under the impression he was a beginner in math.Maybe the stuff I sent is too low for him. Typically a 7 year old is doing adding and subtracting...2 digit numbers. At the end of the second grade he will move in to regrouping. Possibly he may be identifying 1/2 or a whole but comparing fractions is generally a 3rd grade concept and adding and subtracting fractions with unlike denonminators are 4th..
