On the other forums like deer hunting, bow hunting, etc you can make polls. Why cant we here?
I want to start a poll of what is the hardest part of being a Christan:
-Reading God's wordon a consistent basis
-Meaningful prayer everyday
-Witnessing
-Living out the Christian life and not just talkinb about it
-Giving whether be in time, knowledge or, monetary
-Going to church on a consistent basis
-If you're not married being sexually pure (and maybe for someone married)

We couldhave a discussion onwhat comes up as being the hardest and work are way down the list. Just an idea? They need to add the poll to our forum so the poll can be anonymous and we can get better feedback.

on one of the boards, (can't remember which[&:]), i was unable to do a poll, contacted christene?? one of the mods, and she set it where i could "post a poll" i really don't understand why we cant post "polls" on any or all of the forums, but then again there are a lot of things i don't understand[&o]

I want to start a poll of what is the hardest part of being a Christan:
-Reading God's wordon a consistent basis I have a hard time reading daily, I usually get a few passages a day. I should get Chucks cd's so I can turn those on during the day.
-Meaningful prayer everyday The hardest part in prayer for me would be praying outloud or even when praying listening to God's answer. It seems when I pray I just keep going onbecause I have so many things to ask for or praise Him for.
-Witnessing I don't get out a lot but when I do my form of witnessing is talking to the kids about Sunday School or church, music the bible. But with strangers I struggle witnessing directly to them.
-Living out the Christian life and not just talkinb about it My lack of daily reading hurts this area in my walk the most. I should be showing my kids that this is important.
-Giving whether be in time, knowledge or, monetary Time is the hardest thing for me to give. During the school year I cannot leave before the bus gets here and have to back before it does. And after that with bedtime at 7:30. In the summer Josh works so much that all we have is the weekend for family.
-Going to church on a consistent basis Sometimes I wish we didn't teach Sunday School because I just wanna sleep in so my attitude in that aspect isn't wherre it should be. Our last day was yesterday. The only time we usually miss church is when we go on our yearly Boudary Waters trip.
-If you're not married being sexually pure (and maybe for someone married) We used to struggle with some trust issues, as a result of neither of us saving ourselves for marriage and having different partners (other than each other) With hard work and talking about the issues we had we have thankfully resolved these issues.

I don't mind putting myself out there. You are all my brothers and sisters, and I am trying to work on admitting my struggles, if I put them out there then people know to check on my progress, what to pray for, and it shows non Christians that we can be humble. But I don't think everyone need feel like they should share unless they are comfortable sharing, so it would be nice to have a poll.

Diffently...I am dependent upon Him..If I fail I know I'll have a bad day..guaranteed. -Witnessing ....not as much as I should...
-Living out the Christian life and not just talkinb about it This is a daily work ...I'm doing better than last year but have not arrived..that's for sure. -Giving whether be in time, knowledge or, monetary Yes...but still can always give more. -Going to church on a consistent basis We have church in our home..I also attend parayer meetings outsife the home. -If you're not married being sexually pure (and maybe for someone married) Always a battle ..but becoming less and less as I walk in God's spirit and age also plays a part..got bigger fish to fry
Peter says that "Lust wars against our souls." When ask this question John Wesley said "YOu will battle lust all the way to the grave." Satan does not give up .
Okay this may fall in another category but what about Glorifying God in any situation no matter what the outcome.
I will share a few examples. When my babies were born so small and had to stay in the hospital, it was hard, but the biggest lesson I learned was my kids are not mine they are HIS, and I needed to raise them to Love, Respect and Honor through THICK and THIN.
My father in-law just broke 2 ribs when he tripped in the garage, he was having really bad sharp pains and so he went back to the docctor and had an MRI. When he got the MRI the doctor found a mass on his kidney. He is going to go back in for more testing to find out if it is cancerous, but if God hadn't allowed the broken ribs we would not know about this problem.
How often do we glorify God in the beginning of an icky situation, instead of waiting for it to play out. This is problably the area I need the most work on.
I agree...I read a great book in the military called Prison to Praise...bascially teaching from Acts 16 praising God in thejails..Paul said "I know how to suffer need and abound.."...next verse..in the true context."I can do all things through Christ which strenghthens me."We are to glorify God in both instances.
