Default Sunday's Sermonette

Praise the LORD, Amen..Can you believe that it is near the end of may already..my how time flies especially if you are an old man like me. but that's okay for the best is yet to come and i am looking forward to that glorious day..Glory to God!!!!!!!!!!!! please remember those in need of prayer and thank God for his wonderful mercy and love to us..and thank him for taking care of our brother T Bone..God is good..

Father we do thank you today for loving us and tking care of our many needs..now may thy sweet Holy Spirit speak to our hearts today and may we draw closer to thee.. we thank you and love you in Jesus's name, Amen.

1 In thee, O LORD, do I put my trust; let me never be ashamed: deliver me in thy righteousness.
2 Bow down thine ear to me; deliver me speedily: be thou my strong rock, for an house of defence to save me.
3For thou art my rock and my fortress; therefore for thy name's sake lead me, and guide me.
4 Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength.
5 Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth.
6 I have hated them that regard lying vanities: but I trust in the LORD.
7 I will be glad and rejoice in thy mercy: for thou hast considered my trouble; thou hast known my soul in adversities;
8 And hast not shut me up into the hand of the enemy: thou hast set my feet in a large room.
9 Have mercy upon me, O LORD, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.
10 For my life is spent with grief, and my years with sighing: my strength faileth because of mine iniquity, and my bones are consumed.
11 I was a reproach among all mine enemies, but especially among my neighbours, and a fear to mine acquaintance: they that did see me without fled from me.
12 I am forgotten as a dead man out of mind: I am like a broken vessel. Psalm 31:1-12 kjv.

Now more than ever, being a christian means being a living sacrfice to God..it is far more importent to be transformed to God's will than on the sacrifices we have made..God's people can perish for the lack of knowledge..It is in the renewing of our minds that keeps us transforming and not perishing but living and showing God's hope to the ones around us..some have said to me, but i don't have any talents, i can't sing like so and so or i can't, you fill in the blank. my friend God don't want your ability, the Apostle Paul writes "I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God" Romans 12:1-2He wants your availability, Amen. .by the world's standards Christianity has little meaning, i believe you will agree with me on that..so then we as true believers need to dig deep into our souls and into the scriptures to understand our belief..we need to defend that belief or readjust our selves to what we are learning from the Word of God..that's what is good about these forums, you read verses that you normally wouldn't read. .
But do you know that in times like these when your friends seem to forget you.and they don't call or write, these are the times when we can feel God's tenderness down deep in our heart and soul..when the days are long and lonely and no one seems to care, He reaches down His loving arms and loves and comforts us as no one else can.. oh dear friends in my 78 years i can recall many times He has spoke to my soul and brought peace and comfort..what a wonderful God we serve! Our sorrow does not burden Him but draws out His tender love and compassion. He knows the troubles of our soul v-7, and He cares. knowing that we can commit our spirit into His hands v-5, as Jesus did when all His friends left him at His death..oh what a wonderful Saviour we serve..

Father thanks again for another opportunity to study thy precious Word..Father it is my prayer that someone has received a blessing from it and that burdens have bee lifted and as always Lord, if there is someone her that don't know you as their Lord and Saviour, may this be their day of salvation..we love you and thank you in Jesus name, Amen..

do you remember that old hymn, Sing it with me-

Does Jesus care, when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song,
As the burdens press, and the cares distress,
And the way grows weary and long?

O yes, He cares-I know He cares!
His heart is touched with my greif;
When the days are weary and the long nights dreary;
I know my Saviour cares..

Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does He care enough to be near?

Does Jesus care when I've tried and failed
To resist some temptation strong;
When for my deep grief there is no relief,
Though my tears flow all the night long?

Does Jesus care when I've said "goodbye"
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks,
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?

Refrain

Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.
