12 And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks;
13 And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle.
14 His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;
15 And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters.
16 And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp twoedged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last:
18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
19 Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter;
20 The mystery of the seven stars which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches: and the seven candlesticks which thou sawest are the seven churches..
The book of Revelation keeps one moving and a lot of the times guessing at what is going on. I can remember my Daddy saying, the book of Revelation was not wrote for us. the reason i believe he said that was because he didn't understand it.. One thing is for sure: it is never dull when you are a child of God. John comes face to face with Jesus in his vision. God is going to reveal so much to him, yet for us as, even as children of God, we could spend a lifetime studying and still have as many questions as when we started our study. We need to see that God has a plan and this plan will be carried out over time. There is nothing on earth or in existence from the past or future that will deter the will of God from being completed. The bottom line is for us to live in Christ and honor God in how we live and act in the world we live in. Each of us should read this wonderful book, but whether we completely understand it or not, is not how we will be graded in the end of our life. How did we take the Word given to us and apply it to our lives and our families' lives on a day to day basis? Did we take Jesus at His Word that by acknowledging Him as Savior that we would be saved from our sins? That is what our Father wants from us. Walking the path he has for us, trusting Him to direct our paths and whatever comes our way trust in Him..oh i know, we believe in Jesus, but do we believe in his power..remember in Mark where the man's son had a dumb spirit and the desiciples couldn't cast it out so he came to Jesus and Jesus told him ,"If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth."and the father said the words that many Christians today need to say,"LORD,I believe, help thou mine unbelief." how about you, do you believe in Jesus? you say yes, but do you believe in the power of Jesus? Do you believe He can heal you? do you believe he can give you that peace that passeth all understanding, that joy unspeakable and full of glory..yes dear friends He can supply all our needs if we just believe and put our trust in him.. what a wonderful Saviour..
Have a great week and tell someone about Jesus

Great Post, thank you! The one thing I anlways need to remind myself is even though I don't understand it know doesn't mean that God won't open it up for me later. Revelations is one of the hardest books to read, and the books with begat after begat, I have also had a hard time in Romans and in Hebrews. The first time I read them I didn't feel like I had so I went to some of the more easier ones and then back through Romans and Hebrews and I could tell that time that I had actually read them. For me the more I read the more I understand, because the bible is so full I miss things the first, second, third, fourth, time and when I take a break from a certain area in the bible I know that I need to meditate on the things that I read, even when I feel like I didn't take anything out of it.
