Default To mudhead's wife

Just wanted to take a minute to thank you for your kinds words. I don't post or read as much threads as often as I like except for when Mac brings something to my attention. I work as a secretary for a middle school Guidance Office so I mostly post on this forum during the summer or during holidays.
It's great to see another woman post on this forum, especially somebody like you that wants to learn and understand God's word more in depth. By the way, I love the old fashioned ways too! I keep telling myself that one of these summers I'm going to take up leather crafts, and another summer I'll take up pottery, and another summer woodcrafts, and so on till I've learned them all! I'd rather decorate my house with handmade crafts instead of Home Interior stuff any day!
Well, it's time to go outside and look at my garden. I'm looking forward to making my own spaghetti sauce this summer!

May the Lord's blessing be on you and yours.....

Liz

Thank you Bro. Motor. The truth is that although I do the church bulletin every week, there is definitely a difference in the articles I write in the summer and the articles I use during the year. In the summer I have more time to pray and meditate and fast and that is usually when the Lord puts a burden on my heart to write about a particular subject. I don't mind sharing those because when I write them I know without a doubt that they are inspired by something more than just my own thinking. I study and I pray and I put the pen to the paper and the words just come. Unfortunately it's harder for me to dedicate that same quality time to the Lord during the school year so I don't feel as inspired. (Sheesh, I hate that word "feel" because I know very well that we walk by faith and not by sight!) I feel rebuked, just by writing this message![&:]

By the way, even though I don't take the time to respond, I enjoy your sunday sermonettes very much. Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for the encouragement! Sewing is easy, but quilting is very hard. I buy precut wood figures and then paint them myself. My porch is fish, my living deer, bathroom bears, and in the kitchen I have deer plates that Josh got me at cabela's, but I have a painting in there to of a garden. One of the ladies from church painted it for me. It is a beautiful garden. I would love to learn how to do pottery though, that would be a lot of fun. I am thinking about crossstitching too. Anyways, thanks again!

I love cross stitching! That was the first craft I decided to try after having been a city girl. That is when I first realized my love for those types of things. It's pretty simple but frustrating at times when I find out several rows later that I put a stitch on the wrong row and have to undo everything up to that point at redo it!

Before my wife started losing her sight, this one is one of many she made for a friends new born grandson in Illinois.

That is beautiful Reb! So far I have only made 2 quilts, one for my oldest and one for my brother and his wife. I am now working on a quilt block for a friend who is moving away, if all goes well it will look like our church. Yesterday I worked on a baby blanket for my brothers friend but those don't take much time. Your wife is truly gifted I am sorry that she can't quilt anymore.
