Default Sunday's Sermonette

Good morning and happy Mother's Day to all the Mothers out there and all you husbands be sure to be nice to your wives today, well everyday.. there are those who still need prayer so let's not forget them and ask God's will be done in each need..

Father thank you for loving us as unlovable as we are..we do pray for those who are sick and afflicted and ask you to heal them according to thy will..be with us this morning as we look into your Word and may it be a blessing to each one of us..In Jesus name we pray, Amen..

3And hereby we do know that we know him, if we keep his commandments.
4He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.
5But whoso keepeth his word, in him verily is the love of God perfected: hereby know we that we are in him.
6He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
7Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the word which ye have heard from the beginning.
8Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.
9He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.
10He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him.
11But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes. 1 John 2:3-11

These letters from the men who walked with Jesus and especially John. They pull no punches and even though almost 2,000 years have passed, they are as important and hard hitting today as they were then. They give us what we need to live a life for Jesus in this age which we call life. John writes that his readers might not sin..For some, love has very little to do with obedience..John wants us to know that to love is to obey..Luke 6:46, "And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? He goes so far to say tht if you know Jesus and don't keep his commandments, you are a liar..that's what i like about John, he tells it like it is..As you read the Scripture, you can feel that they thought and firmly believed that they would see Jesus again in short order as He comes back to rule over that which the Father has given Him. Though all this time has passed, it should not be any different for us as it was for them. Jesus is coming back and really could be any day and the big question is: Are you ready for Him to return? For those who are called Children of God, there is peace, but for anyone else who believes that some other name or some other type of action other than believing in the One who has a Name which is above all other names, Jesus and Jesus alone is what is required. It is not any other Name or individual but belief in Him who has redeemed us form the pit by His Blood upon the cross. I feel so sorry for those who believe there is no God, and to know that their destiny is eternal life of torment in the lake of fire..Wow! If Jesus lives in us, then there will definitely be a difference in our lives and the way we interact with others. i/m sure you have heard the old adage, If you went on trial and was accused of being a Christian, would you be found guilty? something to think about..

Father thank you again for your love and mercy toward us and it is our prayer if there is one hre that don't know you as their Lord and Saviour, may this be their day of salvation,, in Jesus name i pray..Amen..

No other name but the name of Jesus,
No other name but the name of the Lord;
No other name but the name of Jesus
Is worthy of glory, and worthy of honour,
And worthy of power and all praise.
His name is exalted far above the earth,
His name is high above the heavens.
His name is exalted far above the earth,
Give glory and honour and praise unto His name.
No other name but the name of Jesus,
No other name but the name of the Lord;
No other name but the name of Jesus
Is worthy of glory, and worthy of honour,
And worthy of power and all praise.

Good principles never die out and that's why they make strong foundations to build upon. Thanks motor.
