Default Praying for a kill

I am curious if anybody put there prays for a harvest. I ask the Lord, that when I do make a shot, that I have a succesful, clean kill, but does anyone flat out ask for a kill when they are praying?

I generally ask for a succesful hunt, which I have learned doesnt always mean a kill...this past fall I saw the most gorgeous sunrise I have ever seen, I have to give the Good Lord all the credit there.

I used too before I actually accepted Christ. I would make deals like I will go to church sometimes. Never got a deer on a deal.

Now, to be straight, I just ask that God gets me out of the woods without falling out my stand.

I pray all the time..especially hunting.
I'm afraid of heights when past 13foot so it's a serious faith venture here.
I'm up to 15 foot now. [8D]

I don't pray for a kill, but whenever something good happens to me I always say, "Blessedare you Lord our God, Ruler of the universe, who has given us life sustained us and brought us to this time."

It's a Hebrew bracha which blesses God for the good he bestows on us.

REV

LOL how did you guess?? Last year was a trip. I believe the Lord put me on deer. I was walking down a trail going home. Right out in front of me bounded 2 magnificient deer ..and well antlered. I took note where they came from and tacked my trail and locked my Summit up. I'd never seen a deer from my stand in Florida that was shootable as of yet..so like an idiot I had my bow hanging up. At 7:30 I see a brown animal workin git's way toward me. I'm hoping for the best..nocked an arrow and it's too late ..she is now less thn 10 yds looking right up at me..

Next weekend...I hear branches quietly breaking and then a hog appears and stops..easy target..My knees started shaking..I could not stand. It was like I weighed 1000 pounds..I was so frustrated..Teh hog stood there for about 45 seconds..and easy 6 yd shot..and i could not stand. I'd never had the shakes before..I mean something came over me..I was shakin glike a leaf...and very weak.

That was all the action I got last year.

Lesson learned...
A.keep an arrow nocked even when hanging the bow..Dave H told me that..

B. If you hear a noise..stand then ..don't wait..waiting could be a missed opportunity for some sausage.

Well, I guess praying when you see that deer in the crosshairs.

WhenI went turkey hunting, I said to God, "God, no matter what happens, I will praise your name."

The first time I went out, got skunked, and I walked a ways, while we were still in the lease, I was walking along the river, and looked at the trees, and thought, I still had such a great opportunity, I got to see God's Creation, from sunrise, to sunset.

Next week, Gobble Gobble BOOOM!!!!! I shot a jake, andthankedGod andsilently said,"PraiseYou,Lord!Your Creation is good."And I stood in admiration, and never before had thought, how beautiful a turkey is, especially the way the contour and the wing feathers harmonize, just a beautiful creature.

I didn't praise God either way when I went deer hunting, but I will do that this year, it's not that that's the ticket to getting a deer, it's just, there's nothing like hunting with the Lord's presence at your side.
