Good morning all and i pray you all have a great week-end..We do have some prayer needs..please pray for Shooter65, Stetson, oldone and i am sure others are in need of prayer..You know God is a God who hears and answers prayer..He says we have not because we ask not, so whatever your need go to him, He wants to help you..
Father thank you for these that are here today and i pray you bless each one in a mighty way.help us Lord to understand your Word and may we hold it in our hearts and draw closer to you..we pray Father for those that were mentioned and if there is one here today that is lost and has no hope, may this be their day of salvation..we pray and ask these things in Jesus name and for his sake,Amen..
Ya know today is unique! It has never occurred before and it will never be repeated..at midnight it will end, quietly, completely forever. But the hours between now and then are opportunities with eternal possibilities..
"For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them" Ephesians 2:10
Will we take advantage of the opportunities that today will give us? or will we let them slip by our lack of concern for our fellowman? we should be friendly to one another and we should available to help those less fortunate than we and most of all we should worship God and pray that God will give us that love and consideration for others and place the desire in our hearts that we would spread the good news that Jesus is still in the saving business. never in my 78 years have i seen such immorality and sin in the world..let us as Christians be that light for those lost in the darkness that they too might come to know Jesus Christ as their Saviour and spend eternity in Heaven with Him.. we serve a wonderful Saviour..
"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you".. John 15:13-15. KJV.
As you look through the old time hymnals, (I love them old hymns) notice how often writers referred to the blessings of God's friendship. Oh yes, it is a blessing to have human friends who enrich our lives..Isn't it great to have all these friends on the puter? friends that we can share our good times and yes, the bad times and know that they are standing with us in the sunshine and the storms.. I have made many wonderful friends in cyber world, friends that i have never met and probably won't meet till we meet in Heaven..Proverbs 18:24 says," there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother." friendship on a human level is wonderful, but what about friendship with God? what a blessing it is to have the Creator and the Keeper of the universe as a friend..Although He is worshipped by countless hosts in heaven, He still has time to be our friend..He wants us to pray that we might fellowship with Him..Are we forgetting that He is the greatest friend of all friends? today let's show our thanks and our love to him by pray and the reading of his word.. you know friends here on earth sometimes come and go but when you spend time with God, you have a forever friendship..
Thank you Father for thy precious word, and may it bring peace to our hearts and draw us closer to you. In Jesus precious name i pray, Amen
as i was typing one of my favorite old time hymns came to mind..may i share it with you?
What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and grief's to bear!
What a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer!
Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged"”
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge"”
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He"™ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
Soon in glory bright, unclouded,
There will be no need for prayer"”
Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.
