pretty amazing how he can get such a 3D looking painting out of just using his hands. but to me that is just a painting of some guy. how do we know jesus looked like that? i think it would be better if it were jesus on a cross or something. just my 2 cents.

We don't know, how he looked like! One thing for sure though, being from the region He was from he sure wouldn't look German with Blue eyes and Blonde Hair!

I watched it with my son, and I was pretty impressed with the guys ability and humility. Do you know why he wears the hood, whichI assume is to hide his identity as some gesture of humility?

I don't get it . . .He writes everything that the Lord is then paints a man's face over it.[&:]
I can see how it would be interesting to folks and I know thats all you meant it for Reb. To me however when I see something like that I think of Exo 20:4 Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image; or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:

I'm reading a lot on here as though most think Christ was never seen while on earth. For the last 2000 years his image hasn't changed from one sketch or drawing.

You really believe he was neversketched before his crucifixion and passed down through the centuries?

I don't believe Christ would have stood still for a image to have been made of Him. I think this because of Exodus 20:4. I also doubt very seriously that the images we see today date back to the time of Christ or even of the last apostle seeing how He is portrayed as European in most cases.
Strictly my opinion as it applies for me and mine but we are to worship Christ in Spirit and in truth and not thru idols. There is no mention of a portrait of Christ in Scriptures or in any other ancient texts dating to that time that I am aware of.

It is found in the book of Revelation Chapter 1, John says, "I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me. And when I turned I saw seven golden lamp stands, and among the lamp stands was someone "like a son of man," dressed in a robe reaching down to his feet and with a golden sash around his chest. His head and hair were white like wool, as white as snow, and his eyes were like blazing fire. His feet were like bronze glowing in the furnace, and his voice was like the sound of rushing waters. In his right hand he held seven stars, and out of his mouth came a sharp double-edged sword. His face was like the sun shining in all of its brilliance."
