As humans how quick are we to justify our sin? Was reading the tempt. and fall of man and came to the part where God is asking Adam and Eve about eating the fruit. Adam said, "Eve gave it to me, Eve said, "the serpent beguiled me." Personally I know I couldn't count how many times I have done this. Obviously not as frequent as what I used to, but would still like to improve?

Just thinking aloud
We all contemplate and actually try to justify our sins. Guilt, shame and pride tend to get in our way.
Just wanted to say that i tis good to have you on here regularly. Some come for a while and disappear--hope you stick around. Your contribution is very stabilizing.
Okay so I was thinking about it some more, and I tell you what if I were Eve Ithink Iwould have been cowering. Iwas thinking about how hard it is going to be when I have to stand in front of God and answer for my sins and at first thought that's scary, but after praying about it,I can't wait for that day because He is my Father, whose Son came to save me, when I am done answering for my sins, it'll all be over, the burdens lifted. What a joyous day that will be.
Adam went a step further than blaming Eve. He said, "the woman You gave to be with me". Adam tried to lessen his sin by putting blame on God.
And that phrase Eve used is thrown around so liberally..."the devil made me do it". People tend to use crutches to excuse themselves instead of doing what the Word of God says to do......repent.... and that word means more than feeling sorry or remorse.... What did Christ say? "Neither do I condemn thee, go and sin no more."
