Default What do these numbers mean to you?

With recent discussion/criticism of Catholicism I thought it appropriate to post some numbers.
What do the following numbers mean to you?

Catholic - 65 million in the U.S. and 1.5 billion worldwide.

Orthodox - 5.9 million in the U.S. and 225 million worldwide.

Lutheran - 66 million worldwide.

Anglican/Episcopalion - 2.3 million in the U.S. and 70 million worldwide.

Presbyterian - 2.5 million in the U.S.

Methodist - 8.3 million in the U.S.

To me the numbers don't mean everything. Everyone of those denominations haspeople who are truechristians and some that just say they are christians. Some don't know the political side of church, some know it well. Some have been given a specific role in the church and some just attend. It is not up to you or I to decide who is a christian but to love all.

P.S. This maybe would fit better into politics but here goes. With numbers like that we should be able to send our kids bibles to school with them with out them getting sent home. And the 10 Commandments shouldn't be coming off the walls one by one. They should be getting checked to make sure that they aren't crooked.

This forum is a perfect example of why you can't teach religion in public school. Too many interpretations of what the Bible teaches.

If you REALLY want to send your child to a school where they teach the Bible, send your child to a Catholic school. Or put your money where your mouth is and start up a school at your congregation.

These are the Numbers that mean something! Not figures on a piece of paper.

I guess you are allowed to be a bit of a hypocrit Reb, but would have hoped for a bit more reason, but to each their own. I guess it is too much to hope that when people criticize the beliefs of another group of Christians (better than thou), Catholics in this case, that they realize that they are in the minority and that many millions more have differing beliefs, but still Christians.

Don't be too hard on Reb. You know that he normaly posts a reply by a quote from scripture that he thinks fits the situation or some kind of cut/paste. I would guess he couldn't find anything so he had to come up with an original thought. And quite a briliant one it was.

With practice he will be stringing sentences together and making paragraphs.

I do like the play on words "numbers" to Numbers".
