Being Catholic, catholithism has promoted BS in the sake of having and maintaining power over people and within nations. Limbo, is just another convenient concept like purgatory.

Nice & Blue

When someone says "Being Catholic..." and follows with a harsh critisism of catholism, do you really think they "are catholic"? Or are they pretending to be?

Rebel

I have heard a lot of different critisisms of Catholism but never the geographic location of the Vatican. Or the fact the word "Roman" is associated with the denomination.

I dont think Pilate had much choice in regards to Christ's crucifixtion. It had to happen. It is probably more important for me to look at the fact that God decded to come down here and die rather than go through eternity without my company. Who slew Christ is a moot point.

Hilter had to be, as well. The man caused Good to take a stand and defend what is right and decent. While Hilter did cause the death of millions of Jews, lets also remember than he caused the death of millions of Christians. The man was pure evil. I am pleased that men stood up to stop his rule. I weep for the victums of his reign. Amoungst the suffering and pain. Within the war that was a result of this man's rise to power. There is a reason. I am not so sure we know, even today. But, rest assured that there was a reason for God to allow Hilter's rise to power. Maybe it was to cause the world to act and create a new Jewish nation.

It seems, looking back on history, that from time to time evil men have risen to power. It is not new, it is a theme almost as old as mankind. I believe that God raises these men to power in order to keep us from getting too lethargic or pleased with our current home. A reminder, if you will, that there is a better place. If Scripture is true, no man comes to power without God's approval. There must be a reason evil men are permitted to rule. I can not believe that my God would rejoice in the slaughter of millions. If you recall, at the news of Lazarus' death...Christ wept.
