Default Something To Remember in Tough Times... MUST READ

One night a man had a dream. He dreamed
he was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.
For each scene he noticed two sets of
footprints in the sand: one belonging
to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,
he looked back at the footprints in the sand.

He noticed that many times along the path of
his life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the very
lowest and saddest times in his life.

This really bothered him and he
questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow
you, you'd walk with me all the way.
But I have noticed that during the most
troublesome times in my life,
there is only one set of footprints.
I don't understand why when
I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:

"My son, my precious child,
I love you and I would never leave you.
During your times of trial and suffering,
when you see only one set of footprints,
it was then that I carried you."

renfrowridge, I will be prating for you. I thought maybe a few verses might help, you'll never know unless you try! Here are some that might help you feel a bit closer to the Lord.

Romans 5:1-11
1Corinthians 9:24-27
Hebrews 10:19-25, 35-39, & 11:1-12:13

I hope these help, if you feel you need prayers for something specific or help finding something in the scriptures, please post it. Someone here will help. From what I've seen there are quite a few people here that would be able and willing to help.

I really didn't mean any disrespect, I am new here and was just trying to help. I truly am sorry for your deep loss. I am glad that you have someone that you feel you can talk to. I know that right now you want to be left alone, just wanted to let you know that I followed up with your suggestion. I will continue to pray for you and your family. I don't know if this helps or not, but by going over the posts this is what I do see. You have come on the forum, so that tells me you haven't thrown in the towel. To me that is a good sign. You are allowing others to pray for you even when you feel so lost and alone. Take care.
