What would our life be like if Jesus had not gone to the cross?
I wonder what our life would be like if Jesus had not laid down His life and raise from the dead. C7
1. We would be still under the law. We would be still offering up sacrifices of animals. We would be still keeping the law and puniishing law breakers by stoning them in some cases..We would be still in our sins because Hebrews 10:4 says." 4For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.
But by faith we can accept the fact the fact tha tChrist took our sins and punishment upon Himself.
2Cor. 5:21For he hath made him to be SIN for us, who knew no SIN; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
2. We would NOT be allowed into the Holy of Holies. We would be taking our concerns to the priest. But now...
Hebrews 4:16 Let us therefore come boldly unto the THRONE of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
We have a one on one relationship with The High Priest..
Hebrewes 4:15 For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without SIN.
3. We would not be filled with His Holy Spirit. John 16: 7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
and if we did not have the Holy Spirit
a. Who would guide us in all truth and convict us of sin.
b. There would be no spiritual gifts working amongst us and through us.
c. There would be no "Good news"
4. There would be no hope but now...
1 Cor. 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable. 20But now is Christ risen from the dead, and become the firstfruits of them that slept.
"having no hope, and without God in the world: But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. Ephesians 2:13
5. We would have no New Testament...therefore How would we know Christ thus how would we have life. There would be no "New Testament"
John 20 :31 But these are WRITTEN, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
6. Because of the blood of Christ..we are no longer afar off as was mentioned in Eph. 2:13 He is ever near us and in us. He is our friend. John 15:15Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you. John 15 gives us a picture of abiding in Him...If we abide in Him we shall enjoy a life of love and blessing. We will also be ablessing to God as we glorify Him though abiding in His love.
7.And through this loving relationship we can find assurance of a bright future.
Notwithstanding in this REJOICE not, that the spirits are subject unto you; but rather REJOICE, because your names are written in heaven. Luke 10:20
1 john 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

As I went back to bed Christ Jesus reminded me of another important thing,,,
The very faith we have .."Which is not of yourselves" But s a gift lest any man should boast.. Eph.2:8For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9Not of works, lest any man should boast. 10For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works
That faith that tells us how to dress, what CDs to play in our CD players...and how to demonstrate Christ in our lives at work and everywhere else. That faith my friends is found in Him and from him. We are His wokmanship. If any man be in Christ he is a new creature , behold all things become new."
2 Cor.5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new CREATURE: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.
We can only be a new man IN Christ Jesus. That new man is everything. That joy we have, access to the throne, authority in His name, healing, peace and joy and the rest of the fruit...it's all becasue of the atonement and ressurection of Jesus Christ.
2 Cor. 9:15 Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift.

#9 And another very important fact...his death and blood is available ot all to save us from an eternal fiery Hell.
John 3: 14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

So when you partake of the elements of communion this weekend..let us all remember the wonderful blessings we have because of God's great love toward us through His Son Jesus The Christ...and if you want others to know this wonderful savior...then "love one another as I have loved you."
God bless,

Not worth living without Christ. Just isnt worth the trouble. No hope. Just too depressing to even consider. Yep,I would rather be dead than be without Christ.
