At church this morning a friend was sharing with my wife about a man and his wife who had spent many years in china as missionaires until physical problems forced them home last year..He was 88years old and had a heart attack and she was 93 years old and had cancer, so they had to give up their work in china..after they had arrived home she one day wrote this poem..what a wonderful encouragement it was to me and i hope it will be a blessing to you.
The Rest Of The Way
O Fathomless mercy! O infinite grace!
With humble thanskgiving the road i retrace,
Thou never hast failed me, my strength and my stay!
To whom should i turn for the rest of the way?
Through dangers, through darkness, by day and by night,
Thou ever hast guided, and guided aright;
In Thee i have trusted, and peacefully lay,
My hand in thy hand for the rest of the way.
Thy cross all my refuge, Thy blood all my plea,
None other i need, blessed Jesus but Thee;
I fear not the shadows at the close of lifes day,
For thou will go wit me the rest of the way..

Thanks brother Wayne, I enjoyed that Poem and will share itat our church next Sunday (Resurrection Sunday), cause we are having a missionary from China that spent 3 days in a Septic Tank to avoid being arrested. He has since contacted several diseasesfrom the ordeal.

WOW. You have no idea what that means to me and will mean to my family. My brother and sister in law are going to china next month to adopt a child ( a special needs boy) , my other brother and sister in law already adopted a little girl from guetamula and are going back on monday to pick up their second child ( a little boy ). We have started a non profitt organization called HEARTS FOR ORPHANS which is a christian based organization to assit with information, monitary support, and adoption ministries for other churches. my father in law has been on several missionary journeys along with his wife for orphans, so this will just touch them so deeply, thank you for posting it. That was just plaijn wonderful.
