if you are a true Christian and in gods grace then you can not be considered an average American?
a couple of things i couldn't help but notice, you used caps on "Christian" and "American" but not on Gods grace, very strange, but here is something you should know
Romans 5:8
God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
BTW, i don't consider myself an "average American"

RE: Is it fair to say that.....
Red, you need to define average American .......
Actually, by any definition, I don't fit it, albeit the more right you go, the closer you get to me

I think that, in many ways, I'm an average american. However, I try to live according to God's rules and to please Him. So, I don't succomb to many of the vices that many American's do.
In my church, there was a quote many years ago that always struck me -- "If you were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?"
I would hope that I would be conficted for that.

I think that would make you a great American.
Well said as usual, Cal

Wow!!! I've never heard that said before and it has a huge impact right now. You always think about what would you do if you were persecuted for being a Christian and never consider that others (not even God) might consider you as not being a true Christian. This is a deep thought process here. Thanks DaveH.
