Default Sunday's Sermonette

Howdy all, and another beautiful day here in central florida..a little windy but a lot of sunshine..please remember to pray for the sick and especially the lost that they might be saved..
i love to read in the psalms and proverbs so this morning our text will come from Proverbs chapter 4..
Father may your Word be a blessing to us today and i pray we will receive from it that what you would have us to see..in Jesus name i pray, amen..

20My son, attend to my words; incline thine ear unto my sayings.
21Let them not depart from thine eyes; keep them in the midst of thine heart.
22For they are life unto those that find them, and health to all their flesh.
23Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
24Put away from thee a froward mouth, and perverse lips put far from thee.
25Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
26Ponder the path of thy feet, and let all thy ways be established.
27Turn not to the right hand nor to the left: remove thy foot from evil. Proverbs 4:20-27..

If we want to honor God by our life, then it must be more than just words, but an application of that truth. Just reading the words and then going one's own way will not help in the walk that would glorify the Son of God. You and I have great need to not just know the Word of God, but making an application of those truths within your life. Again it is not works that saves us, but a realization that the blood of Christ is the only way to get into right relationship with God. We must learn to apply the truths on a moment by moment walk with God and as we do that we will see that God always has our best interests at heart. God wants us to grow and mature in His Son and this comes about through the working of Spirit of God within our lives and a knowledge of the Word of God. This knowledge must go from being head knowledge to heart knowledge and in so doing, it affects our very being in the way we live and act within our world. Allow the Spirit to have control and walk by His Leading and not what we think we can do by our strength. I am afraid too many have the head knowledge but their heart is not right with God..I believe someone asked what a hypocrite was.. well that's it, pretending to be a christian but are as lost as moody's goose..in other words a play actor covering up his wayward heart with his head knowledge.. "But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy." James 3:17-
WE need to be people who are people of prayer first and foremost. Our actions and the way we react must be that which would honor God by our response. It would be nice if our first response was the right one, but we all too often respond, apologize, step back and ask God for wisdom and then respond correctly. Not bad, but all too often our first response is what others remember and we need to see that! God wants us to learn to depend on the Spirit of God to direct our paths and go to the One who will give us the right words and actions to honor His Name. The bottom line is do we want to honor Him by the way we live and act? . or are we hypocritical?
Father, thank you for Jesus, He who came to this old earth and gave his life that we who believe might have eternal life..and Father it is my prayer this day, if there is someone reading this and are lost that this might be their day of salvation..in Jesus precious name i pray amen..

Many years he walked in darkness as he groped along the street,
With his hand stretched out for pennies, or just a bite to eat;
It's the story of a blind man who met Jesus on his way,
With the Master's touch the man looked up as the scoffers heard him say...

Somebody touched me, somebody touched me,
O I was blind but praise his name now I can see;
I was in darkness when Jesus found me,
But since he touched me I now am free.

One day He touched a crippled man and made him walk again,
And the Master saw with pleasure He had not labored in vain;
Like the story of that crippled man I once was bound by sin,
Since the Master came, Oh praise his name, I now can say...

Somebody touched me, somebody touched me,
O I was blind but praise his name now I can see;
I was in darkness when Jesus found me,
But since he touched me I now am free.

Amen brother Wayne...I like the part about as we walk in that light that we learn God has our best interest at heart.That is so true. Our natural man tends to think that selling out to God will be a boring life .Quite the contrary..God will revive your marriage and everything else in your life.He is an awesome Heavenly Father.
Great thoughts brother.
Thanks,
C7
