I hear that word alot.
Question.s..
What is a heretic?
Is a hereticworse than a hypocrite ?
Are they almost the same thing?
A hypocrite is someone that says one thing and does another ... Chuck, after our previous convo, I am not sure you will agree with this, but we are all hipocrites at times ...... as we grow in grace, we become less and less ... but we still have that flesh we drag around
A heretic is a person who holds and avows religious opinions contrary to the doctrines of Scripture, the only rule of faith and practice. A false prophet

Chuck, after our previous convo, I am not sure you will agree with this, but we are all hipocrites at times ......Tony..my brother I agree with you 100%. Actually that is where I was heading.Ias we grow in grace, we become less and less ... but we still have that flesh we drag around I agree...the only part we may be fuzzy on is it appears to me some {As I have in the past} thinks it's normal to fall all teh time and that is the normal Christain life.} The greek word for sinning is like shootinga well tuned bow. You should be hitting the 3 inch hole at 20 yds most of the timeand rarely hitting outside of that circle. That word literally means that..We do aim{ like us archers know }to please God in everything we do. God's love in us enpowered by His Spirit makes us pro archers in Christ..yeah we may miss occationally but that is not like us..we are mighty hunters right.

Maybe the definition of fall is were we are fuzzy ...... I fall everytime my wife, kids, students, etc, aggravate me. It happens most days ... praise God He is there to tap me on the shoulder before I act on it. I fall anytime I think too much on hunting and not enough on the Lord ... I fall everytime I don't witness to everyone I should .... So I totally agree with you when you say

, however, unless I am alone on this, we miss everyday ... not constantly, but somewhere .... we are not like our Lord and Saviour.....

We Christians are constantly shooting our bows..I'll be honest with ya..I get convicted daily to live thesefollowing verses out in my life..Most "misses " are caused by what we say.
James 3:2For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body.
Psalm 34:12 What man is he that desireth life, and loveth many days, that he may see good? 13Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile
James 1:26If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. 27Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.
Proverbs 10:19 In the multitude of words there wanteth not sin: but he that refraineth his lips is wise. 20The tongue of the just is as choice silver: the heart of the wicked is little worth. 21The lips of the righteous feed many

I have too many thought sinsalso .... the Bible says "out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks" .... we sin in thought many times before we speak ... I think we have cleared up the fuzzy Chuck. I believe we think alike on this ...

Amen Tony..
That is more the case than not the case...most of the time on here.If we had a chance to converse over some sausage biscuits and gravy at a Dennys or something..we woiuld have a chance to clarify ourselves. This keyboard communicating gets tough some time..The good thing though about the keyboard..I can backspace, delete or change my words real fast...At Dennys I can't do that.
No problem for me. I'm perfect in every way. Oh,wait a minute that is someone else ?Maybe I should spend less time looking for the bad in people, and see ifI can find some good. The lord knows the difference.
