You asked for no negative comments so I'll give my answers. But realize that these answers are more based on a perfect world, rather than the one we live in.
1) A good Pastor serves his congregation with humility and honesty and integrity.
2) He should look like Christ (preaching truth, loving, compassionate, forgiving, etc).
A good pastor walks with God. Speaks as God gives him the nessary words. Rebukes when God instructs. Isn't swayed by popularity, monitary gain, large crowds, family or friends. Places the will of God above him own will and desires. Never compromises the word of God and loves sinners enough to preach, teach, exort, and rebuke as directed of The holy Ghost. Just the tip of the iceberg.

Hey you guys are awesome..I'm going to make a list of what you have all contributed. Thanks for not gettign side tracked with the negative things.
i'll then add what I beleive to be the punch line at the end of listing all the qualifications you all have made.

In my not so humble opinion, a pastor should strive to be fit. Now, this doesnt mean he needs washboard abs or massive biceps. What it means is that like all Christians, a pastor should strive to keep from being overwieght.

OK ..I'll summarize later but here's my view of an awesome pastor..
The punch line will come before 5:00 PM today.
1. Visits his flock ..if he is shy he will get over it in faith..a pastor is called ot love people.
2. He spends hours preparing so that he has somthing fresh to share . Like Alex said..he prays for every soul daily..this will cause him to believe and think the best of every member..even the tough ones.
3. He makes house calls...
4. Because of his many hours in prayer and study he is Christlike ..above reproach and humble but wise.
5. He has missions and local out reach programs..
6. He loves witnessing and trains folks howto share Christ..
7. He seems ot have peace where ever he goes. you love spending time with this fellow and a fishing or hunting trip would be a blessing.

I like to see that in scripture, the flesh or appearance in not of any importance.
