Something came to me I have lost a few people to cancer. I am sure many of you have to. Everyone that I know that has had cancer went through all the treatments. They may have be okay for a year or two. After that things went down hill. why spend all that money and in the end it wont really matter. why just not pray about and thats it if you get better you get better.

As a Bone Marrow Transplant nurse I can tell you that you raise a valid question. Many cancers now days are treatable with high survivor rates. There are other cancers that are more agressive and require agressive treatment. Often the treatment can be as devastating as the disease. Patients are well informed about the treatments available and their various harmful side effects. They decide to go with the treatments believing they can beat the disease and hopefully have quality of life. I think the Lord programs us with a strong will to live.

Might I submit James 5:14? "Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, annointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

v:15 as well--And the prayer o faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up......

In my opinion, it's aquestion of faith. Is our faith in modern medicine?Which do you put your trust in, medicine or the Lord.(NO, I don't handle snakes or drink poison.) I have issues w/ my faith not being what it should be, as I'm sure others do too. If they're willing to admit it.

Also, His will shall be done. BEFORE ours. HIS will, WILL be done. Ours, is up to Him.
