I will answer my question are bars bad? They can be yes and no. I have been in a few bars drink a few cold ones with the buddies and never felt like anything was wrong. Last weekend I was in a nightclub I did feel like it was bad. There was girls dancing on tables and many of the women were wearing clothing that showed alot. whats everyone elses view on this. other thing i have noticed many women wear a cross then they are out there drinking dancing with every guy and wear very sexual clothing.

I've never seen much, if anything, good come from one. Crosses have been changed to fashion accessories. Stripping the meaning/symbolism from them. IMO, borderline blasphemy and sacreligious.

Well like you say; it depends. The bar where I hang out is a very family friendly place. People bring their kids in. I take my daughter in. They have a good kitchen so it's a nice place to have supper. If somebody's behavior gets out of line, one of the owners, husband and wife, will caution the person just like the mods here do.

That's to keep the Wolfman and Dracula away from them when they go home at night!
Wonder if they use the Garlic to cast off Evil Spirits and the small piece of Red Cloth to cast off the Evil Eye?[8D]
If they are going to be Sacreligious, why even wear one!!! Like BillyMack mentioned, that's being Blasphemous!

as a christian i would stay out of bars for a few reasons (and by bars i don't me going to have dinner at a restaurant that has a bar in it)...
1. It can ruin your testimony even if you have just one drink.
2. it can cause a weaker christian to stumble. ie: if someone is trying to get out of the bar/drinking scene and sees a christian brother they admire downing a few at the local bar, that will not be a good example the weaker brother/sister.
3. there's too much temptation to get drunk.
4. you can't go wrong by not going to bars.
i know this from experience. everytime i've been in a bar i did not feel right at all, and it only led to bad things for me. thank God nothing really bad happened cause it could have several times. i dont go to bars anymore or hang around my friends that do. trust me your better off not going at all.

I suppose I may be misguided, but.....I've frequented a few different bars, and often times, the people there weren't drunks, they were people enjoying a couple drinks, with a few drunks scattered through. Certainly, if you had issues with controlling how much you drink, then they CAN be bad, but if you can control yourself, I don't see them as such a bad thing. I've even witnessed in bars before, and had deep political/religious talks in bars, trying to guide people from the EVIL liberal side of America. I don't believe GOD will judge me by a few beers.
