Extraterestrials and religion

I was curiouswhat others thought would be the impact on our planets view of religion if/when intelligent extraterestrial life was discovered? I am talking religion worldwide and across faiths.

Is God From This world ? No
Jesus Claimed To be From Heaven ? Yes
Are Angels from earth ? No

So are they terrestrial or extraterrestrial ?

For me, it doesn't matter if there are "other life forms out there" or not. It doesn't change who God is, what Jesus did for our sins and our need for salvation. If God created other "worlds", then so be it and if He did, likewise. The bottom line is what we all do with Jesus Christ in our lives.

I believe Alex is saying that if God isn't from this world then he must be from another world...also in Ezekial we see strange being that are not of this world....Paul talks about also in 2 Cor. 12..that he was in teh 3rd Heaven...so yes...there is life and other beings out there. Rev. gives us a picture of creatures with many eyes etc.

i have a question.

if there were life out there in space, how does that reconcile with the idea that jesus died for our sins.

what of the sins of the extraterrestrial beings?

are they saved by jesus as well, or do you think god sent a savior for each planet that sustained life? or are they all destined to go to hell just by virtue of the fact that they were not born on earth?

it seems to me that the basics of the christian faith are contrary to the idea that there might be other life in the universe.

just a question that occurred to me.

There are many questions that we won't know on ths side of Heaven..The important queston for you David is your relatonship with Christ Jesus. Is He Lord of your life ...if not... He can be.
