Default Sunday Sermonette

Good morning all! here it is the first sunday in March already..my how time flies when you get to be nigh onto 80, it seems like there are only 4 days in a week. so let's see what the Word of God says about our cares this morning..
Father we thank you thay you have the answer to all our problems if we would just trust in you.. Father i pray for the ones that are sick and those going through some hard times and i know some of us are discouraged and down hearted, so i pray you will draw us closer to you in Jesus name..Amen..

4 Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice.
5 Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand.
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
9 Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you. Philippians 4:4-9 kjv.

Saturday morning i preached the funeral service for a good friend of mine who was only 56 years old but who had many medical problems..humanly speaking, as we look at this 78 year old man preaching at a 56 year old young mans funeral we would ask,Why Lord, did you take this young man and leave this old man? but then we realize that death is no respector of persons, it takes the young and the old so we should not ask why but What can i do in this stuation to glorify God? it also shows us that we need to be ready for noone knows what tomorrow might bring.amen
No doubt we all have doubts and fears in our lives at different times but Paul wrote in our text today,"Be anxious for nothing but in everthing pray and let your requests be made unto God." Peter wrote,"Casting all your care upon him, for He cares for you." how can we be still and stop worrying/ only through prayer and trust in the Lord..if we would but cast our cares upon him, we can set aside our worries and woes and and have that peace of God that passes all understanding.this don't mean we will never have to go through delimmas and the curves life throws at us but it means we will have the ability to live with peace during these storms of life..although the trouble may stay the confusion and the despair will fade away and we can radiate that peace..I remember a lady a few years ago that was dying and everytime i went to visit her right up to her death, she had a smile on her face and never once complained about the terrible pain that theat she went through with cancer and the treatments..she never asked why me God, no she asked what can i do to glorify you God ansd she did it by being a wonderful witness to the amazing grace of God..Praise his precious name!!!
My friends, if you have never realized how much God loves you, and his desire for you to live in his love, then your life will be filled with anxiety and cares and be fretful and always looking for a cure..take it from this ole man who has been there and done that, trust in God and cast your cares upon him and you will be glad you did..

Father again we thank you for caring for us and loving us when we were unlovable and Father as always if there is one her who does not have the peace that only you can give may this be their day of salvation..In Jesus precios and Holy name i pray, Amen

sing this old hymn with me..oh what a wonderful Saviour we serve!!!!!

Does Jesus care when my heart is pained
Too deeply for mirth or song,
As the burdens press, and the cares distress
And the way grows weary and long?
Refrain
Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.
Does Jesus care when my way is dark
With a nameless dread and fear?
As the daylight fades into deep night shades,
Does He care enough to be near?
Refrain
Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.
Does Jesus care when I've tried and failed
To resist some temptation strong;
When for my deep grief there is no relief,
Though my tears flow all the night long?
Refrain
Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.
Does Jesus care when I've said "goodbye"
To the dearest on earth to me,
And my sad heart aches till it nearly breaks,
Is it aught to Him? Does He see?
Refrain
Oh yes, He cares, I know He cares,
His heart is touched with my grief;
When the days are weary, the long nights dreary,
I know my Savior cares.
