It's an online book and is pretty rich. He has a very kind way of teaching yet deep and will cause growth . Each chapter takes about 5 minutes to read. I use it as a devotional. I'm sure he has many more. Like I said..very easy reading yet deep for the older Christian who desires growth. Enjoy.

Big Country..God has been leading me in this direction ...Jesus said,'Learn of me for I am meek and lowly and ye SHALL find rest in your souls."
I had seen this book about 15 years ago and gave it away...now my heart is ready for the message. I was hoping I could find it and here it is...I was very blessed after just reading the first chapter this morning.
Sure enough ,in his first chapter he states something like.."You don't grow up and mature into humility..You have to purposely want it..for it is the root to all the other virtues. It's the opposite of pride. His teaching is very gentle yet very annointed. I'm glad you like his stuff also.He has many great books. I plan to read them all. When my wife was growing she read about 10 of them. especially his ones on prayer.
I might start reading it myself again. It was one of those books that got me close to God, but the closer I got the more appearant my sin became I felt bad but in the end, it was a blessing. Hard for me to describe.
Amen Keith..
I just got done reading chapter 2. Very powerful teaching. Here's a little quote from this morning.
"Believer! study the humility of Jesus. This is the secret, the hidden root of thy redemption. Sink down into it deeper day by day. Believe with thy whole heart that this Christ, whom God has given thee, even as His divine humility wrought the work for thee, will enter in to dwell and work within thee too, and make thee what the Father would have thee be."
I'll be sure to give my opinion after reading some it. You know me May be awhile, school's gotten crazy and I'm in danger of failing my first class EVER, so working overtime is a must. Sure wish my brain "clicked" with some of this college trig and calc[&:]
EDIT: Forgot to say I'd boomark it and get to it soon. Thanks again.

Chuck , I just read the chapter on death to self, to see how he would present it. I don't just read or accept any one person's writings without first validating them. His concept of death to self is entirely accurate biblically. Honestly, it is just what I have tried to say to you many times before. Essentially he is saying that to die to self is an act of faith, not an act of 'resistance', in his own wording. It goes along with Galatians 2:20--I am crucified with Christ...He uses the Romans 6 passage which is a parallel to Gal 2. I see you struggle so much,( justlike we all do)in so many ways, and even with your 'obedience' thread, you displayed a 'try harder' approach to overcoming, which essntially always end in failure...failure for us all, as we all still cling to some prideful 'hope' that we somehow can be involved actively. Truth is ,our only involvement is in surrender, which is the end result of the true humility he is referring to. We are utterly dependent on what Christ has done in His death, burial, resurrection, and ascension, yet we still want to involve ourselves by external efforts and practices. Read what he is saying and take it to heart, and you are going to find the peace and victory you have longed for and sought for so long. True humility involves letting go of any self effort, and becomes total reliance on His provision. That is not to say that faith, as has been discussed many times will not take on an end result in some manifest activity in our lives, but the activity is the result, not the means. Submit to God,placing yourself under His authority, and then resist the devil in His authority. It is no longer I , but Christ in me--the hope of glory.
I am not your adversary, but very much on your side and want to see you experience the abundant life. When I respond in disagreement with your postings, such as the one on 'obedience',you seem to take it as an 'attack', a personal one, and that is never the case. I am wanting to present the truths, such as is being delivered, this time, by Andrew Murray,in opposition to some wrong conclusions that you are effected by adversely,as revealed by your may comments in those regards, and your ambivalent and constant differing approaches to the same problems. I am not trying to win a debate, but to calrify the truth on a given matter.Nothing more, nothing less. In this case---listen to whathe is saying, and ask th eHolySpirit to open your understanding concerning this extremely crucial issue.---Greg
Wow, I am not disappointed. I've only skimmed it. Two things I've noticed/decided so far.
1.) It deserves far more than a casual "skimming".
2.) It's the real stuff.
Great find, and thanks for sharing.
