Default Sunday Sermonette

Good morning and welcome to church service..hope you enjoy our get together around God's Word and i pray you will get a blessing from it..don't forget to continue to pray for those who have afflictions and are going through hard times..just remember God loves you and wants to help you..

Father thank you again for another opportunity to share your precious word with these dear friends and may their prayers be answered and that we all would draw closer to you..In Jesus precious name i pray, Amen

16 A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me, because I go to the Father.
17 Then said some of his disciples among themselves, What is this that he saith unto us, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me: and, Because I go to the Father?
18 They said therefore, What is this that he saith, A little while? we cannot tell what he saith.
19 Now Jesus knew that they were desirous to ask him, and said unto them, Do ye enquire among yourselves of that I said, A little while, and ye shall not see me: and again, a little while, and ye shall see me?
20 Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy.
21 A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world.
22 And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full. John 16:16-24

Jesus is saying here in our text that in just a little while He is going to be betrayed and taken before a kangeroo court and there to be found guilty although He was perfectly innocent and then to be crucified for your sins and mine..I stand in awe that He would die on that old rugged cross for the likes of me an old sinner ..even the disciples didn't understand what was going on although Jesus had told them many times about what was going to happen..you know i believe that's a big problem with Christians today, there is a lot they don't understand but won't ask the Holy Spirit to help them..in my opinion we don't need to keep going to the hebrew and greek and try and change the meaning of the word of God as it is written..God gave us the answer, He sent the Sweet Holy Spirit to endwell with in us to help us to understand..There is great security in opening God's timeless Book and hearing His voice..It calms our fears..It clears our heads..It comforts our hearts..Let it supply all our needs. You know Christians ought to be happy.Christians ought to have their wants satisfied and not to live defeated and unhappy lives..Jesus said in John 16:24, "Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name, ask, and ye shall receive, THAT YOUR JOY MIGHT BE FULL." He also said, "Come unto me all ye that labor and are heavy laden and i will give you rest." What a wonderful Saviour!
Do you have that Joy in your heart, that peace that passeth all understanding? if not maybe you are like King David, out of thee will of God..I know i was and my life was not where it should be and i went to the alter, and as David did, I asked God to restore unto me the joy of my salvation.and He did and what a difference it made..oh i still have the storms that come along and the ups and downs but He is always there to comfort me and to see me through the hard times, yes, He's just a prayer away..if we take up our cross and follow Jesus faithfully, if we suffer for the cause of Christ, then we can agree with paul when he wrote,"For i reckon that the sufferings of the present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory that will be revealed in us" Rom 8:18 we who have served him faithfully will one day hear him say,"Well done my good and faithful servant, thou hast been faithful over a few things, i will make thee ruler over many things, ENTER THOU INTO THE JOY OF THE LORD" Matt. 25:23.". ask and ye shall receive that your joy might be full" the joy of a Christian depends a lot on our prayer life.. amen..

Father we thank you for your presence here today and as always Lord, if there is one here that don't know you as their Lord and Master, may this be their day of salvation that they too might have that Joy unspeakable and full of glory..in Jesus name and for his sake i pray, Amen..

"Whom having not seen, ye love; in whom,
though now ye see him not, yet believing,
ye rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory" 1 Peter 1:8

I have found His grace is all complete,
He supplieth ev"™ry need;
While I sit and learn at Jesus"™ feet,
I am free, yes, free indeed.
Refrain
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Full of glory, full of glory,
It is joy unspeakable and full of glory,
Oh, the half has never yet been told.
I have found the pleasure I once craved,
It is joy and peace within;
What a wondrous blessing! I am saved
From the awful gulf of sin.
Refrain
I have found that hope so bright and clear,
Living in the realm of grace;
Oh, the Savior"™s presence is so near,
I can see His smiling face.
Refrain
I have found the joy no tongue can tell,
How its waves of glory roll!
It is like a great o"™er flowing well,
Springing up within my soul.
Refrain

Thanks Bro Motor!!

Rom 15:13 Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost.

I do believe that if we are filled with the Holy Spirit that our countanance will as a norm demonstrate joy. A person that walks around with a frown on his face all the time is not letting the Holy Spirit reign in his heart. Even tho some believe in initial evidence of speaking in tongues, it's joy and peace in believing and hope thru the power of the Holy Spirit that will mark our lives in the continuem.
