A true story, a missionary met this young man who was a pot smoker among other things and he talked to him about Jesus and his need for salvation..of course the young man was not interested so the missionary gave him a New Test. bible and asked him to read it..well the young man looked at the thin pages and thought, that will be good to roll my pot in so he took it..they parted and about a year later he met the young man again but oh what a difference he saw in him..he was praising the Lord and couldn't thank the missionary enough..he said at first i just tore out the pages and rolled my smoke but then i started to read a little now and then and he said, when i was about half way through the book of John, the Holy Spirit spoke to my heart and i was wonderfully saved..
we never know what will happen when we share God's Word.. It is written in Isaiah 55:11,
"So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it."
