Default Sunday's Sermonette

Good morning to those of you who took the time to stop in for our sunday service and i hope you receive a blessing from it..please remember to pray for those who have physical problems and other needs..
Dear Heavenly Father, we ask you to forgive us of our sins and for those times we have failed you in our service to your cause..for those who are sick and afflicted we ask you reach down your loving arms and comfort and heal them according to youe will..and father i know some are discouraged and dissapointed and maybe confused at what you would have them do so Father may they come to you as you have thwe answer to all our needs..thank you for loving us and sending your only begotten Son that we might have eternal life through His death..and it's in his name and for his sake i pray..Amen
In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.(But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.) Many of the people therefore, when they heard this saying, said, Of a truth this is the Prophet. Others said, This is the Christ. But some said, Shall Christ come out of Galilee?Hath not the scripture said, That Christ cometh of the seed of David, and out of the town of Bethlehem, where David was? So there was a division among the people because of him. And some of them would have taken him; but no man laid hands on him. John:37-44 kjv..All too often we look at life as how we feel things are going, yet for Jesus every day he was moving closer to that day that would free all that believed from the chains of sin. The Spirit of God has always been available, but only given and then taken back after the action was completed. Jesus is sharing those things about Him that point others to admit that He is the Son of God. and no matter what some believe, Jesus is the Son of God, Yet for many this is something they can't take. One of the biggest obstacles is where Jesus was born. To many he was the carpenter from Galilee, yet did anyone ask Him or His mother where He was born? No, they all assumed that since He grew up and worked in Galilee then He must be from there. Yet we know where He was born and yes, He is from that city of David where the Christ would be born, Bethlehem. We see it and yet, are we not at times like those who won't accept who He is and we turned and continue on our way. For you and I there will be no excuses, there will be no reason for our inaction or our not being involved. You and I have the Spirit of God if we are His children. Let us not take for granted what He provided for us at such a great cost. here in these verses, the trinity is shown, God, the Spirit of God and the Son of God.. I once read this and i don't remember who it was, but it says a lot, "With unwanted burdens come undeserved blessings" Habakkuk wrote, "Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation"
Have you heard someone or have you questioned God when in times of sickness or other trials? I have and i am so ashamed that i would complain after all He has done for me. after all he has furnished us with food, a house to live in, and friends..you know these are blessings many people don't have.. then there are the Spiritual blessings. we have the Word of God, the Holy Bible that we can hold in our hands and read..we can read of the knowledge of His saving grace, we can receive the comfort of His Spirit, and most of all the promise of life everlasting with Him..Glory to God!!!!!!! think about your blessings and i'll betcha your grumblings and your why me will turn into praise ..
It is so sad to see professing Christians that receive blessings from God yet they use his name in vain and tell dirty jokes and dishonor him in many ways when we ought to be on our knees thanking him for all He has done for us..when was the last time you got on your knees and said, Jesus i don't want anything today i just want to tell you i love you and thank you for what you did at Calvary? why don't you do it now and i'll betcha He will bless you for it..
Father we humbly come before you today thanking you for your shed blood on that old rugged cross that we, through your sacrifice can have eternal life in heaven with you.. and Father if there is one here today that does not know you as their Lord and Saviour, may this be their day of salvation..It's in Jesus sweet and precious name i pray, Amen..
I love the old hymns and as i was writing this an old song came to mind..i know you have sung it many a time.It always brings tears to my eyes- Count your many blessings,Sing it with me
When upon life's billows you are tempest tossed,
When you are discouraged, thinking all is lost,
Count your many blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Refrain
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.
Are you ever burdened with a load of care?
Does the cross seem heavy you are called to bear?
Count your many blessings, every doubt will fly,
And you will be singing as the days go by.
Refrain
When you look at others with their lands and gold,
Think that Christ has promised you His wealth untold;
Count your many blessings money cannot buy
Your reward in heaven, nor your home on high.
Refrain
So, amid the conflict whether great or small,
Do not be disheartened, God is over all;
Count your many blessings, angels will attend,
Help and comfort give you to your journey's end.
Refrain
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
Count your blessings, see what God hath done!
Count your blessings, name them one by one,
And it will surprise you what the Lord hath done.

Thanks Bro Motor. As usual, you do an excellent job! I get so much from these sermonettes every week. . . . .Uh, . . .even if I don't agree with the "trinity" part, I'm just as blessed.

I've saved all of them you know![8D]
