Ever been to a Promise Keeper's conference? Now THERE'S some excitement and joy in the Lord!

I'm here at work experiencing the "after-effect" of those Super Bowl parties. They've been coming in since I got here!

Easter is people dressing up in bunny outfits, kids easter egg hunting, decorating eggs etc

Christmas is when retailers bring in the cash, people overspend, Satan Claus comes to town, trees are decorated and kids focus on what they are going to get under the tree.

All depends on your focus..

For me Christmas is..Jesus songs being played over the Walmart sound system. My wife and I mainly focus on buying for others ...so for us.. it's not a selfish thing. It's a time when all family members are contacted no matter how tough they are to deal with. It's a 10 day vacation for me to hunt and fish. It's a time to focus on the birth of Jesus. I generally start practicing playing Christmas songs on my guitar in early Nov. for our family get togethers.I love Christmas..

Easter...is good too. Sunrise service and a focus on the ressurection.
Christmas is my best best time of the year.

Actually for my family, we don't decorate the house or hunt eggs etc. We spend time reflecting the birth of Christ and the death/resurrection of Christ. We fellowship together and thank Christ for His sacrifice so that we could have eternal life. This is our Christmas and Easter.

AMEN!!!

I have been to a Promise Keeper's conference and wow, we celebrated Christ just like a football game. And I am a die hard Denver Bronco fan and know what it is like at a home game and the Promise Keeper's conference I went to in Houston, Texas was the same excitment. Just the focus was on Jesus Christ and not a man made game.
