RE: a new wakening?
Just tonight I had something hit me.That's how it gets started Fred...a thought just comes .Commmon sense, horse sense , wisdom..but God begins to enter your mind to help you come to your senses.
Luke 15 :17And when he came to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father's have bread enough and to spare, and I perish with hunger! God's thoughts draw one to repentance.
18 I will arise and go to my father, and will say unto him, Father, I have sinned against heaven, and before thee,The still small voice in the Prodical;s mind gives direction.He is convicted of his foolish sins.
19And am no more worthy to be called thy son: make me as one of thy hired servants. And before the recieveing of God's graces..comes the virue of humility. He is preparingto humble himself before The Father.
20And he arose, and came to his father. But when he was yet a great way off, his father saw him, and had compassion, and ran, and fell on his neck, and kissed him. The Father doesn't even scold the son or reteach the son..for the son has already dealt with his sin in his heart. The Father whom is full of grace has been waiting for the prodical to come home. He is elated with joy and pours out a wonderful blessing upon him...a party, a ring new clothes and best of all a wonderful Father who will provide for him always.
Whats the point of getting really drunk. Yeah can be fun while you are doing it. The next day you will pay for it. Smoking cigs yeah may get a buzz.Read Luke 15 today my friend. Read about another young man who recieved an early inheritance and how he used it to party...but like you he came ot his senses.It will go away and afterwards smell. You may get rich and powerful. You may die tommorrow cant use it when dead. Learning the word of God. There is always something to learn, brings a smile to face, makes alot of earthly things like whats the point, etc. Something just hit me while driving home from a friends house. It was werid.
It sounds like the Lord is dealing with you my friend.
