Default many feel its the end? are they right

I have read many of you think the end is coming soon. With all the evil going on in the world today. I thought well maybe you guys are right. The other there day there was a program on TV it was something about the beginning of christianty. About 2000 years ago christians were killed for what they believed in. You couldnt peach in the open or would be killed by roman soldiers. any ideasI am just looking for some input?

Deer, the end is not coming soon, The Book of Revelations was based on the persecution of Christians, under the rule of the Roman Empire. I feel that this world has quite a long time left.

I feel we have much longer to go. Maybe more than my lifetime. Here's the reason. A person brought to my attention WWII. Many thought the end was right in thier faces. Jews being slaughtered, the whole world in tatters. Some people lost everything. A person who fitted the bill as an antichrist. Then right after, the Jewish state coming, the wars surrounding it. Could you imagine living thru that time? Many evangelist stood up and just knew the end was there. Here we are 2007.

Big, that is my thinking. Hitler was the perfect Antichrist, those must've been scary times, indeed.

As far as the anti-christ goes...there is always a person who fits the role of the "antichrist" according to prophetic scripture, because Satan doesn't know when the time is for him to be used. There's been many perfect, Scriptural antichrists because Satan is always ready. Someone on earth right now is able to fulfill the "antichrist" role...

I made a Facebook note concerning this very topic. I'm going to copy and paste it here...lemme know yall's thoughts...

I've been thinking...(oh goodness, right?)

We as human beings are designed to live only in the "present". It's a built in eternal indicator for us. The past and future do not exist. The past is gone and the future has yet to come.

The only thing that exists is the right now. That is how eternity will be. The right now...constantly, just like it is the right now---well---right now.

That being said...and turned into something "theological", I was thinking about death and the rapture.

First off, I believe that Jesus could've returned to earth the day after he ascended into Heaven. All of the Scripture that needed to be fulfilled has been and continually is being fulfilled. The "prophecies" for Jesus's return are cyclical. Every person who has lived after Christ has had the potential to experience the Rapture. We are no closer right now to Christ's imminent return then the Disciples were 2000 years ago.

Since we live in the present only, Jesus is able to return, RIGHT NOW, all of the time.

Secondly, I believe that the chance that we will all die, instead of being Raptured, is a 100% possibility.

All you ever hear is, "Jesus is coming, be ready!"

That has been said for 2000 years and not a single person has experienced his return---however, all 100% of the people who have lived since then have died.

0 have experienced the Rapture.

Billions of people have come and gone since Christ ascended and not a one has been lucky enough (if we do perhaps, view the Rapture as "lucky" and death as "unlucky", although I personally see the re-uniting with Christ as joyous in both the Rapture and in death) to be "raptured away".

Every generation stays ready for this "calling up" of the Saints and waits in hope that it will happen. Well, it hasn't.

Why do we think that we are more special then them? Only a fraction of a percent of people who have walked the earth won't experience death. I would bet my bottom dollar, that you and I both, will experience death.

In all actuality, since we currently, always live in the present, and the future and past don't exist, we must also always be ready to die. Death happens right now. We are not guaranteed the next second, because when death occurs, we are "here" and then we "are not here".

We must BE READY for the Rapture and death because they all happen to us the moment they happen. Not in the future and not in the past.

Honestly, I would preach being ready for death alot more then I would preach being ready for the Rapture. Death happens. The Rapture probably won't (at least in our lifetime).

I think that perhaps death and the Rapture are, in essence, the same thing.

The "rapture" unites us with Christ and death also unites us with Christ.

Don't put off things til tomorrow and don't dwell on the past. Use what you have to your best ability, enjoy your friends and family, and live for Christ, RIGHT NOW. It is all that we have.

Be ready.

Well the Bible says there would be many antichrists,

1Jo 2:18 Little children, it is the last time: and as ye have heard that antichrist shall come, even now are there many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last time.

[/align]

it is the modern church that has bestow the many different antichrists as one entity.
And it is right to the point that one evil spirit possesses different men at different times in History.

The third beast or third major antichrist was fulfilled in Hitler, and he would pass his power to the last which will be in the form of a religion or false Prophet, this is being fulfilled today in Mohammed and his followers, so the end to world caos is at hand.

There are many articles that prove the connection of the naziz to Islam, you should search and get enlighten.
In answer to your article froman, although the coming of Christ has been expected for the last 2000 years, it could not have happened before 1948, because Jesus himself said it in Matt 24.
The vine had to begin to grow again, the vine has always been refered to as Israel, so Israel did not begin to flourished until 1948, but now all the natiions needed to make a last attack on Israel are there Ezequiel 38 and 39 and are actively talking and acting against Israel.
There is but that prophecy yet to be fulfilled, shalom

Shalom

I let the prophecy ministries deal with that question, my ministry is to make sure we can have them ready for when it does come.

I read this site sometimes www.endtime.com
