While we are in the minority (24%), it is heartening that I am not the only HNI member who favors evolution and frankly there are a lot more votes for evolution than I would have expected.

I believe this is the guy who proposed the "hydroplate" theory of where the water came from for Noah's flood. This absurd, impossible piece of pseudoscience has been thoroughly discredited by themainstream geological and geophysicalcomunnity. Even creationists admit that it dosn't work without miracales and that removes it from the realm of science.

Caldoc- Science is such a big guesstimate I giggle to myself that ANYONE can believe in it. I mean, seriously, you being a man of science and medicine you know as well as I do that almost everything you diagnose is a guess. You don't really know whats wrong with the patient, and you treat the symptoms instead of trying to cure the illness. Sometimes you get it right, and the patient lives, or survives, or is healed. Sometimes you get it wrong, the patient dies, or survives/heals with medicine hacing nothing to do with it.

Science is all the time, everday, reversing on somthing, admitting errors in this, errors in that ......... Science is little Fact along with vast majority theory and hypothesis, constantly changing.

This forum we are on now is frequented mostly by religious people and mostly by Christians I would say.

The poll was on the bow hunting forum and would represent the views of a cross section of people (religeous and not so much). How was the poll going before it was pointed out on this forum? Has it changed a lot since it got attention from the religeous folks on here?

I went to have a look but did not intend to vote. But when I saw they had put in the option for "Both" I voted that way. I have perhaps a differnt definition (more along the lines of a good dictionary) of evolution. To me it describes, for the most part the wonderfulmethod that GOD may have used for HIS complicated plan of creation.

I do not see creation and evolution as being at odds with each other.
