Life sucks and its really unfair most of the time. Yes we want to be rich, powerful, good looking, etc. For most of us thats not what we have been given. The only hope that makes me feel better is that I will leave this place and go to a better place it will be for enternaty.

deerhunter1224,
Life doesn't suck, it is wonderful, joyous, and fulfilling. If you seek wealth, power, and looks, then stop looking for them in the world. For I am rich in the Lord, I have the power of Christ and the Holy Spirit by simply believing and calling out to the name of Jesus, and I am beautiful in the eyes of the Lord. For I am washed clean by His blood.
The things of this world will all be burned up, but those who believe in Christ, confess Him before men, and are washed clean by baptism in His Holy Name will have eternal life. There is no need to hope for this after you are gone, when you can have it all right now, if you turn away from the world, and truely accept Jesus Christ in your heart as your Lord and Savior.
If you honestly are broken in what you are as a sinful man, Christ will fill you up and take away your worldly desires and overflow you with His love.
It is then that you will realize that you have ALL you will ever need or want.
Seek ye first the kingdom of God, and all things shall be given you, according to His will.
If you honestly are broken in what you are as a sinful man, Christ will fill you up and take away your worldly desires and overflow you with His love.

You really have to take those blinders off your eyes. I hate to say this but you sound like a spoiled little brat. Rich, Good Looking, Powerful, come on wake up and smell the roses. Go into a children's hospital and visit with children suffering from cancer. Look at the optimism they have. Then ask yourself how much life sucks. Here's a pic of my new born grandson from last Easter, ask him if he ever had a change to say life sucks.
You have a chance to create your future by what you do today, if all your are going to do is complain and whine about life, it probably will suck. Bob <><
Deer, c'mon man, we have it good, compared to some people, go down to the homeless shelter, or as mentioned, the children's hospital, it is sad, that people are suffering, and all you can do is complain about how bad your life is, I would say its pretty selfish. Not a very good show of class, deer.
rich? powerful? goodlooking? i'm not sure i need that kind of burden
1 Timothy 6:4-11
He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings, Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself. But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into [this] world, [and it is] certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and [into] many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows. But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.

RE: life sucks/ unfair but....
I, personally, do not care for riches, looks, etc.I am financially stable, got a wife that loves me, and two beautiful kids. I feel very lucky and very blessed. Everything beyond that is just "gravy". Focus on the positive, live for you and yours, and ignore the trappings of the world.

Amen Burnie,
My life is pretty much the same now. During college..We were recieving help from our local church, food stamps, and lived from pay check to paycheck. Sometimes we snitched oranges from the local groves. I had to net fish to eat. Why were we poor. My wife quit her job to homeschool our kids. I didn't like recieving food stamps so I started a landscaping service to help out. I will say they were good times. WE trusted God .I could not afford a hunting license then so I went 7 years without hunting. They were great days.
Because of those 7 years we learned to live fugile. We live in an 1100 square foot house and less than 1/4 acre. Tonight we are eatting calf liver and onions. All my wife's clothes are from garage sales. We have never bought a new car and never will. It's fun living like this and getting over on a world that says I need the latest and the finest. God is wonderful. Fred..I would love to trade my home for your country home any day of the week. Count your blessings Fred...name them one by one. YOu will see God has blessed you my friend. c7
