Default turning to God when

I am not sure if this is right or not. I am sure many of us do it. Turning to God only when things good or bad happen. If something happens good to us we generally thank him. When the times are are bad we turn to him. If things are pretty neutual we dont really turn to him.

"Seek ye first the kingdom of God". Everything else will fall into place after this is done. Don't leave Him on the back burner.

I personally feel prayer life is vital to growing as a Christian. Praise Him in the good times. Praise Him in the bad too. Remember, if we don't give Him His praise--His rocks will in our place! [&o]

Fred,
That was my attitude when I was lost/Now that Im'
saved I seek Him everyday...and still the scriptures say "That the righteous are scarely saved." It taes a daily "Bbaring of one's cross"...and that I don't do. I may go through the exercise of Bible reading and prayer but true Christainity is a life of having the same attitude as Christ which was a sacrificial attitude . I don't always have that ...and I wish I did.

Chuck,
I think alot of us don't always have that sacrificial attitude. I know that I don't. To me that is one of the burdens we must carry.

You can turn to God whenever you want, the phone line is always open, and he's always on the other line.

Yep, thats the problem in the nutshell. God owes me no favors. But I try everyday to give God praise for the ok things in life we take for granted. Like the air I breath, and my back being strong, and my ability to walk, my use of my hands and feet, my voice, my sight, my hearing, taste and touch.

Maybe make that a practice once in a while to speak to him when things are going ok.
