The Word of Faith movement is hard to applyprecise definition to. It has no formal organization asdo other denominations ( baptist, methodist, etc) but instead is composed simply of a number of high profile teachers who espouse similar theology. Itstheology seems to be a mixture of christianity and mysticism very similar in some ways to the gnostic heresy that plaguedthe early ekklesia (assembly) of believers. If one traces WOF doctrine to its source we find the root to be the metaphysical teachings of Phineas Parkhurst Quimby, who influenced EW Kenyon who in turn inspired Kenneth Hagin, the man who is called the 'father' of Word Faith doctrine. The unscriptural 'force of faith' is the foundation of WF theology.Followers believe the power of their spoken word can manipulate this 'faith force' and create material things which they believe scripture promises to all who have enough faith( ie health, wealth, prosperity). It is also believed that G-d is bound by these laws and is powerless to over ride them.Rather than rely on sound biblically based doctrine,WOF instead rely onthe strange and unscriptural belief in 'revelation knowledge'. Revelation knowledge' are supposed special revelations given specificallyto them from G-d. However, these'revelations'often blatantly contradict plain scripture. Some examples of Revalation Knowledge: B Hinn said that Adam could fly (like a bird) and thatwomen were originally designed to give birth from their sides.People within the movement are discouraged from questioning theteachings andcommonwarnings areto not 'touch G-ds annointed' or not to let their lack of faith 'quench the Spirit.'Some specific doctrinal beliefs are :WOF:G-d is not sovereign and He needs permission to act. "Satan had gained ascendancy in the earth by gaining Adams authority, and God was left on the outside. God couldn't come here in His divine power and wipe them out. He had to move in an area where it would be ruled legal by the Supreme Court of the Universe'(Capps,Authority in Three Worlds)Scripture says G-d is indeed sovereign over all of creation andno mancontrols Him. 'I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy ...It does not depend on man's desire or effort, but on G-ds mercy' Rom 9:15-16I say: If G-d is not the judge of the supreme court of the universe then who is? Judge Judy perhaps?WOF: You controlYeshua with your mouth "You create the presence of Jesus with your mouth...he is bound by your lips and your words...Remember Christ is depending upon you and your spoken word to release His presence' (Cho. the 4th Dimension)Scripture says Yeshua is sovereign over all creation. No man controls Him "These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of G-ds creation' Rev 3:14I say: If mere human beings can control Yeshua let us all hope the Muslims never find this out. They may try to hijack Him into jihad service.WF Man is a god, though a lesser god than G-d the creator. "Adam was an exact duplication of God's kind!...Adam was subordinate to God. God created him, gave him all this authority and power, and said to him, 'Be god over the earth as I am God over the heavens" (Capps,Authority in 3 Worlds)Scripture says : Man is not and never will be 'gods'. There is only one true G-d! ( Jn 17:3) If man is a god then he is a false god! 'Before Me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me" Isa 43:10I say: What? Are WOF actually Jehovahs Witness on steroids?WF:Faith is a force. 'Faith is a power force. It is a tangible force. It is a conductive force.' (Copeland, the Force of Faith)and your words activate the force "The force of faith is released by words. Faith-filled words put the law of the Spirit of life into operation' (Copeland)Scripture neverdefines faith as a 'force'. Faith isplacing trust in G-d and is synonymous with havingfirm assurance that He is faithfulto carry outHis promises. ' Then he (Abram) believed on the L-rd and it was reckoned to him as righteousness' Gen 15:6I say: Maybe they watch too much Star Wars and think the Force is with them. This isbut a small samplingof informations on this topic. I welcome inputs, corrections, and discussion. Shalom

Amen Alex,
I've been to those churches Alex .Here has been my observaton.
-.serious manipulation of scriptures to get $$$$$$$$$from the beleivers.
- confusion
- self centered.{What I can get from God} gospel
- most serious men of God see this movement as heresy.
It's a big lie.
